I bought this dvd a while ago, and I found it to be very helpful.
Even if you have a pretty good grasp on chord theory and harmony you will learn some valuable tips to find ways to incorporate it into your playing. He teaches a simple but good system of going about accompanying your voice with the fiddle. You also learn some pretty good old-time songs. The dvd comes with a booklet that has the music for all the melodies (fiddle as well as voice), sample accompaniments, and lyrics.
It is a good investment if you need some guidance to feel confident singing while you play.
