We got this for my daughter for christmas. Actually we got her the STVG-700 which broke 10 minutes after we got it. Singing Machine replaced the broken one with an STVG-718. I give them high ratings for very quick and friendly customer service. Now that we have the replacement, we love this machine. What a blast! Nobody can resist singing along. We end up giggling and laughing - It's addictive. The picture quality is ok, I wish it were in color though. When you hook it up to a color TV it's much nicer. The picture quality from the camera is low, but my daughter LOVES seeing herself as she's singing. A cool thing to do is to hook the camera output up to the VCR and record herself singing. LOTS OF FUN.

Got this for my 7 yrold.........she loves it. Actually way too much for her aqqt this age, but she will grow into it in time. Only drawback to these is there just aint many CD's with appropiate music for kids her age. But who cares as long as she enjoys using it.

Overall I am happy with this karaoke machine. My only complaint is that the machine often takes a while to play a cd properly which i find very frustrating. When I initially put a cd in the machine and play a track, it will often give me a message that indicates that it cannot play any songs on the cd. After stoping the player and playing it again a couple times, it will eventually play the songs on the cd without any problems. So the karaoke machine does get the job done, however, the initial waiting period for listening to play a song is annoying to say the least. I have not yet tried to play the Karaoke type CDs yet, so I can not speak to the effectiveness that this machine has playing this audio format.

We bought this for our 8-year old son who loves to "put on concerts for us"! What a total hit! This machine is capable of anything he wants and can imagine, and the echo control is a real plus! The camera function is very nice and when hooked up to the t.v. instead of just the screen on the machine, it is even more exciting with the colours! We bought the High School Musical Karoke CDs and a few other Disney Karoke CDs geared toward kids and there isn't a bad one in the bunch. He loves them all! Having doubts about this gift myself, I talked myself into it because someone pointed out how much reading he would be doing without even realizing it! True, so true! Don't go smaller (due to the screen being too hard to read) or with any other product, this is the only machine to buy!

Got this for my kids (8 and 5) for the Holidays after much research. This seemed to be the best product in this price range. But it is spotty. The monitor is something out of 1952 . . old tube tvs and gets very very tired quickly. All of a sudden the lyrics disappear if you are also watching yourself on your own TV (connected to your TV) and has to be turned off. Also, when you switch CDs monitor doesn't work properly at first ... like it's warming up or something. And this is during the first hour of use! Can't imagine this thing lasting long. Not sure if I'm going to return it .. it's such a pain to do so . . but overall it's OK . .just not as great as advertised.

I gave this karaoke machine to my 3 granddaughters(7,5 &3) for Christmas. When they opened it up on Christmas Eve, all their other gifts lost their luster and most of the remainder of the evening was spent with microphones in hand! Even my daughter-in-law got in on the "performance". Only one slight flaw - there aren't enough mic jacks for the 4 or 5 microphones we needed that night.

I bought this for my daughers birthday and she uses it everyday, it has gotten more use than any other thing she has. She has used it so much we had to buy a new microphone after about a year, but it was not because the microphone was faulty just because it was used so much. I would recommend for any of those who love Karaoke

This was the best gift I could have given my son!! it works real well and when you hook it up do your T.V. it is alot of Family fun also.. Just great for my budding singer who is 12 and his 22 year old brother loves it too alot better than singing into my hairbruch when I was a kid!!!

This was purchased for my 8 year old's b-day party and was a great hit. It was easy to setup by the adults and easy to use by the 8 year olds. The monitor hookup for the TV adds another layer of fun. I have a feeling that this will be brought out for the next adult party (after a few cocktails maybe.) Defnitely worth the money and should be enjoyed for a long time.

I like the singing machine karaoke system.It have a f m and a m radio on it good sound. If you like singing and music all should get it.
