5.0 out of 5 stars Great Music, December 18, 2002

This review is from: Singing of the Times (Audio CD)
If you enjoy Irish music, this CD has it all. From "There were Roses", a poingnant story of 'the troubles' to "Humpty Dumpty was Pushed", both fun and politically pointed (and exactly what the title implies), to "I'm going back on the Bicycle", which gives many reasons for bicycling as opposed to driving, and has a cheery rhythm. Highly recommended.

i first heard this song done by another band , so i tried to go see what the original was like ....much to my surprise i liked the original version better ...the song tells a story of 3 friends in ireland and the hardships they encounter because of religious differences ...best line of the song :..and i wonder just how many wars are fought between good friends , for those who give the orders , they are not the ones to die, its scott and mcdonald and the likes of you and i
