Drew and Venus' relationship is fresh and alive. He has plans to make her his wife once he establishes himself in his career. Working alongside his boss, he is making big moves and big money. Things change, however, after Venus' friend moves in with them for a while. As the twosome transcends into a threesome, secrets are revealed that literally rock Drew's world.
SINGLE WITH BENEFITS depicts the dynamics of a relationship when the individuals involved don't truly know one another. Although the book was laced with plenty of drama, it was also bogged down with meaningless information, which caused me to get bored. As the book progressed, the plot seemed to veer off course and did not get back on track until the final chapters. This interruption in flow took away from my reading experience as well. Aaron did offer a plot twist I did not see coming, which kind of made up for the lulls in the story. This is a portrayal of how emotions and actions can shift when the truth comes out.
