3.0 out of 5 stars Electornic mixes, 3 similar club mixes and lots of edits, January 22, 2002
By Geoffrey Johnson "sitebender" (Lake Villa, IL United States) - See all my reviews
I hyped myself up for this EP, and was let down, with three edits (Take A Picture's two edits which sound exactly the same and are just over 4 minutes long and Welcome to the Fold, which takes out the long periods between vocals to make it 4 minutes long). Then the club 69 mixes, which are good dance mixes, but far too long together (9, 2 and 6 minutes long) and similar. The other mixes are more electronic than alternative fans are used to, such as the Rennie Pilgrim mix, which has a trippy little beat that lasts 7 minutes, and the Moving Fusion mix which is a 7 minute fast passed drum & bass melody with the vocals fluttering out of context. One thing to note finally is that the H & H version, really isn't a remix, its more like they added some kicking bass drums to it. If you can pick up the singles of Take A Picture and Welcome To The Fold for a much cheaper price, unless you are a die hard collector. This comes in a white jewel case and it's a black CD.
