5.0 out of 5 stars Here it is.
If you like funky music that is different then... Here it is! You aren't going to hear this on the radio but then again what better reason is there to buy it?

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to get tired of
And, of course, the girlfriend didn't care much for it. Pants is the best song on the disk. If you had a really good band in Jr. High, this would be it. Not going into my "rotation", but fun to listen to with the guys in the garage once in awhile.

This CD is amazing. The songs on this record will stick in your head for days. It is a great CD from start to finish. If you do not feel happy after listening to this music there is no hope for a cure. Here Come the Mummies should take the place of all anti-depressant medication.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best band you ever (or never) heard, May 24, 2010

The lyrics are silly and raunchy, and the costumes are just silly. The only serious thing about HCTM is their music, which is unbelievably, seriously great. Every song is instantly memorable and every song makes you happy and makes you feel like dancing. Since my first listen on Feb. 26, 2010, I have listened to nothing but this band's three studio CDs and one live DVD. I have seen them twice in person and am looking forward to my third time in June. I have never experienced such an instant, happy obsession with any band or artist of any kind. Does it make you feel good? Yes it does!

5.0 out of 5 stars America or Egypt's Most Funk Band, March 2, 2010

Here Come The Mummies are great! Not many bands with a horn section, much less a horn section like this one. They are fantastic live, they really put out for their audience. But when you've been dead for a few thousand years, you relish the chance to give it your all. It almost seems cheap to call them a party band, but they are so much fun. Single Entendre has a wide range of tunes on this one, from the party anthem "Pants" to love song "Wound Up Together" and everything in between. The lyrics are full of their creative fun side and the music just jams. If you listen to Bob and Tom, you will know what they are all excited about. HCTM are a breath of fresh air in a music era filled with recycled dance, rap-rock, and crooning boy banders. You have got to listen to these guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!, January 13, 2011

Comical lyrics blend seamlessly into these superbly mixed and performed tracks. Album has a great flow of tempo and an unrelenting groove. I have a couple other albums by Here Come the Mummies and this is the best of them. If you are unaware of this group, buy this cd and give it a once-through. You will NOT be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mummies ROCK!, October 26, 2010
This review is from: Single Entendre (Audio CD)
This album is one of my all-time favorites. Their catchy (and naughty) lyrics and incredible music make you move, even if the song's just playing in your head. I've seen them live twice in the last 2 months and we'll see them again in Madison Dec 1st!! I love that they can write songs about sex and not be raunchy or nasty. They really, really love women. The lyrics get me worked up!

A great album. I saw them on the Bob and Tom Show and boy do they boogie. All the tunes are good and this really gets you in a good mood. I like a good horn section and they have one of the best. It's different that the top 40 stuff you will hear on the radio but I don't like most of that commercial stuff anyway. These mummies are true musicians. Hard to put this in a pigeon hole but if you like a rocking, funky, jazzy tune that makes you feel GOOD, check this out.

THIS IS A GOOD CD, BUT THEIR BEST ONE WAS EVERLASTING PARTY, WHICH IS A WINNER ON EVERY SONG. THERE ARE A FEW CATCHY TUNES ON THIS CD. THEY ARE A VERY VERY VERY VISUAL BAND, LIKE ALICE COOPER AND KISS, WITH THEIR MAKEUP ON, OF COURSE. BUT, IF YOU LIKE ROCK AND THE FULL - BAND SOUND OF CHICAGO AND THE FUNKINESS OF THE AVERAGE WHITE BAND, YOU MIGHT GO FOR THIS. THERE ARE NO LYRICS THAT SHOULD BE CENSORED AS THIS BAND RELIES ON ADULT SLANG WORDS FOR SEX, SEX ACTS, AND THE LIKE. THEY ARE A FAMILY-VALUE BAND SINCE THEY DO NOT USE SWEAR WORDS OF ANY KIND, BUT SHOULD ONLY BE HEARD BY ADULTS AS THAT'S THE AUDIENCE THEY ARE AIMING FOR. I CAUGHT THEM ON THE BOB AND TOM SYNDICATED FM RADIO SHOW WHEN THEY WERE AIRED ON THE TV STATION WGN OUT OF CHICAGO LAST YEAR. THEY ARE A MUST-SEE FOR SURE SINCE THEY ARE SO ANIMATED ON STAGE. IF YOU DON'T CATCH THEM IN CONCERT, CHECK THEM OUT ON YOUTUBE.
