An excellent primer,

This review is from: Single-Handed Sailing (Seafarer) (Paperback)
This is an excellent brief primer on long distance singlehanding. Having singlehanded some 10,000 sea miles myself, including several ocean crossings, there are incidental technical points where I think Mulville has got it wrong. The book is also dated in some particulars.Where Mulville is right, and where the book is extremely valuable, is its focus on the correct attitude and mental approach to the specialized form of seamanship that long distance singlehanding involves. |
