Love it! Love it! Love it! Cudos to Cassandra for having the insight and courage to write this gem of a book. Every single mother should have a copy of this book. It touches on so many important issues that I don't know where to begin. You'll learn not to beat yourself up over things that are out of your control. You'll learn how to tune out negativity from others so that you can focus on living your best life. You'll also learn what to look for and what not to look for in a mate. It's a small book that packs a big punch.

What I like most about it, besides the practical information was that I felt like Cassandra was right here with me. I feel like she understood my pain and my hopes for the future.

This book has a lot of advise that can actually help any busy woman, not just a single mom, about believing in yourself and how to have that self respect you need. The encouraging parts would really help a newly single mom too, especially the one that says it's okay to grieve after a divorce. The advise is just very down to earth and candid, and I love the format. There's a wise saying and then an essay on it, so you could read one a day and focus on taking those small steps each day. I'd recomend this for any woman and especially for moms looking for a boost to their confidence.

After reading the reviews, I expected this book to be full of inspiring insights. But it's not much more than grandma's scrap book of hard-learned wisdom. It has very warm tone, positive attitude towards life, compassionate towards struggling single moms. But for a book, I expect it to be more profound.

Raising a child is no easy task, however with a little humor, a whole lot of patience, a loving family and good friends...Add to that an abundance of God's help and "The Single Moms Little Book of Wisdom"...

"Wisdom, courage and hope sprinkled with reaffirmation

and good information is the essence of this personal

empowerment guide for single moms. Cassandra Mack

speaks straight from the heart and penetrates the

souls of women with this wonderful book. I've

recommended it to a couple of women on the job as I

recommend it to those reading this review."

I agree with a previous reader. For the cost of this book I thought they would give you advice to cope or deal with these issues but its the opposite. Many of the pages are filled with basic info and a basic solution such as "just remember your children's feelings?". WTH? Don't waste your money...you could read this within a couple of hours. If you are looking for a book to help you cope or give sound advice...this is NOT the book for you. If you are fine with just having someone relate to you...with no real direction...then this is for you.

At times this book made me laugh and at times it made me cry, because it spoke to my heart and ministered to my soul, without coming accross as preachy or superficially motivational.

As a single mom of a five year old and a seventeen year old, I found this book to be extremely helpful and healing. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, dissatisfied with where your life is headed and in need of a personal pick-me-up, this book will help you discover a new sense of resiliency and embrace the best that you have to offer. The book is small enough to read in one or two sittings, but you'll need to periodically re-read each tidbit of wisdom to really take it all in and apply the lessons to your life, especially the chapters on Grace Under Pressure and Letting Go of Excess Baggage.
