4.0 out of 5 stars Good Teaching Tool, August 16, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Single Stock Futures (Hardcover)
The book gave a solid, basic background and explaination about this investment. I like that it didn't try to be tricky or complicated. It just taught me what this thing was about, and then showed me how to go about trading in it. I like the part of the book about setting up for trading over the internet too, I thought it contained some nice insight.

Bottom line from me, a traditional stock investor, it was a clear and helpful education.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Basic, August 9, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Single Stock Futures (Hardcover)
Although this book contains an overview of the new product, it is pretty basic for intermediate to advanced traders and investors. Basically, I think the book was released too soon before many of the rules and regulations were finalized concerning the product (the book even states this in the preface), so as a result it only paints half the picture. I was surprised that there were only about 70 out of 250 or so pages in total having to do with single stock futures, the rest of the book covered fairly basic technical analysis. It is more like a technical analysis book with a little info on single stock futures. I am going to go with one of the books being released later in the year as I feel they may have more info on the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars complete intro, August 27, 2002

This review is from: Single Stock Futures (Hardcover)
Good: Great introduction for a new trader trying to get up to speed with this investment. Author uses clear, basic approach to describing and teaching.

Bad: There could have been more information on how to spread trade with these investments. There's also a lot of basic techinical analysis overviewed (but I suppose this would be helpful to inexperienced tech traders.) And, the book is not real long and goes a little too quick.

Overall, I recommend the book
