This book along with it's accompanying video could be a gold mine for any high school coach looking for something a little different to give his offense a competitive edge. Update the blocking rules and The Single Wing Offense with the Spinning Fullback will be a literal nightmare for most high school defenses to stop, especially if they only have one week to prepare defending against it (you'll be the only kid on the block!) The Single Wing is not a "trick" offense but a viable and powerful offense. I know because I coached it. Although not everything in the book is applicable, if you'll eat the meat and spit out the bones there is some great information here!

Coach Aldrich has provided an excellent resource for coaches that still employ the single-wing attack. The system is easy to implement and it is very well-conceived.

This is one of those books that any single wing coach would love to have in his collection. Unfortunately, it's somewhat rare and costly if you are trying to get an original copy. I don't know when it went out of print or how many of these are in circulation but I've seen copies being sold for upwards of $500 through book dealers here on amazon. Fortunately his son and daughter were able to re-print the book and offer it to coaches for around $60 + shipping and it even includes a nifty DVD that you won't get anywhere else. You can find details about this at Direct Snap Football dot com and I also noticed Mr. Aldrich's daughter Lea posted a review on this book and left her email address (lea.rareart@gmail.com).

With that said...I love this book. I've just gotten into it. I'm hoping to use a considerable amount of the material for the upcoming season. What I find to be pretty unique is that many SW coaches will only use spinner sparingly and Coach Aldrich has based pretty much his whole offense on the spinnerback. I love this stuff. I love the spinner plays, it's artful, provides misdirection and out of the single wing, you've got plenty of bodies at the point of attack.
