4.0 out of 5 stars Wireless Ignition v1-1
like millions of other home PC users my LAN has evolved and grown over the past few years, as more whiz bang devices have become available to my network. i bought it to help me get my printer and 3 PCs networked with a linksys router. the application crashed several times and the UI was really hard to navigate. it ended up taking up time, rather than saving it.

like millions of other home PC users my LAN has evolved and grown over the past few years, as more whiz bang devices have become available to my network. It's unfortunate that Microsoft always seems to be several steps behind the curve. In my case, my LAN went from wired (just 2 pc's, a router & a cable modem) then adding a third Wi-Fi ready laptop for the wife, and then later a NAS mass storage device (for back-up, MP3 storage, temp photo & video file storage to view listen to on the Home entertainment center. I run all linksys networking equipment. But, I was having a real tough time keeping my wife's new laptop configured & propery connected to the Wi-Fi LAN ... I had read a positive review of Ignition and decided to give it a try. All configuration problems on the Laptop were SOLVED within 10 minutes after installing the program. (This does require turning OFF (disabling) the Windows XP network setup software and turning over full control to Wireless Ignition.
I do have two support related peeves. ... First after visting the companies website & perusing the press releases I noticed they had released a new version 2.0 in May-2005; I was shipped version 1.1 yet no upgrade to the latest software was available, not quite fair IMHO. Secondly, I've seen no commitment by the publisher to support the program for any length of time into the future. IMO, 12 months of e-mail/website support ought to be included. Who knows maybe there just getting the kinks worked out at a young and probably rapidly growing company. but hey, it helped me out and I'd use it again on another PC.

5.0 out of 5 stars One click Wireless configuration, January 13, 2005
This review is from: SingleClick Wireless Network Ignition (CD-ROM)
This software takes all the complexities out of configuring your computer for wireless network access. Great product. Allows you to store wireless profiles so that when you go to work or your favorite coffee shop you can access the network with the click of a mouse.

I highly recommend this software to all users of wireless networks.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can see all the wireless access points in my area, January 13, 2005

I was having all kinds of trouble with Windows knocking me off my wireless access point router. Whenever it detected a signal turn on in my area, I would lose my connection -- TALK ABOUT FRUSTRATING!!! When I use Wireless Network Ignition, I could visually see ever access point that my laptop could detect. I could then click on my wireless router and LOCK my signal to my access point. Since buying this product, I have not been knocked off my network. (The AP lock works just as well when I take it on the road with me too).

I could not connect to my Wireless network at home so thought I would give this a try. Amazingly connected me with the click of the mouse. Thank you!

Product has lots of features in addition to connecting you to your wireless network.
