Upon hearing the name of this band many years ago, I don't imagine I was too up on hearing what I would assume is a barrage of hardcore punk that was already getting oversaturated with bands by the mid 80's.

Turns out they are quite good and have so many danceable, catchy tunes that are not new wave, but gothic and punk tinged as if the dance floor or club was getting too trendy and it needed an alternative life form to infiltrate. For this you have to absorb a beat that would make you sweat off your drink of choice for the night, leaving you drained to the point of needing to refuel your human body so you can return to work and support your earthly needs.

Gothic punk is a nice description of this band, a combination of forces that are both dark and delightful, eerily speckled with a dash that is always quite frightful.

I debated getting this or the greatest hits, and chose the singles collection due to it being a bit more expansive, sure a 1 disc set might be enough, but for a fiend like me....2 is better than one.
