Very good and complete CD, wonderful music, good recording.
Curiosity: look at the authors of the songs and you will find out that when BERT writes with HERBERT he reaches the peaks of delicacy and smoothness.
A good name for this magic soft combination could be "Her(r)Bert" (in german Mr.Bert). If you like this delicatessen buy one of the best CD's ever; HERBERT REHBEIN:"The Complete LP Collection", you will "love" it.

This is an excellent compilation of Bert Kaempfert music. You'll find all the familiar tunes like 'Wonderland By Night', 'Swingin' Safari' and others not so famous such as 'Mexican Road', 'Catalinia', etc. This double disc sums up the best of the big band music of Kaempfert. Unfortunately he passed away in 1980 with a heart attack but he left us a great legacy of instrumental favourites. Super buy.

This is the Bert we all grew up with, not the Muzak versions, the real singles...enjoy!

just one thing to say. if you love bert kaempfert and want a good hits and more then get this. you will love it. that's it. enjoy

I gave this 5 stars despite the fact that one great tune is missing
"Magic Trumpet." Still a lot of good sounds on this 2-disc set.

If you have only one Bert Kaempfert CD in your library this double-disc set should be the one. A great collection, beautifully assembled and produced in chronological order, with a comprehensive booklet detailing original release dates. If you like Kaempfert you'll love and treasure this collection, as I do.

One final nod to Mooveeman at the Amazon Marketplace for the great price and super service he gave me on this CD, and to Amazon for offering the Marketplace option.

Fifty-five songs and no Tootie Flutie, Happy Trumpeter or Cotton Candy. Shame. When is someone going to publish his complete works? When you buy his CDs you get a lot of duplicates.
