1.0 out of 5 stars
What a waste of my money, December 29, 2004
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Singles: Flirt Up Your Life (CD-ROM)
This must be a game from the SIMS reject section. I thought it would be cool and that there would be some exciting erotic moments that would make this game edgier than the SIMS. unfortunately, I was so wrong and so misguided. This game plays like a dull version of the older SIMS and doesn't offer anything new to that style of game play. The graphics are banal, at best and the interactions are just week. This supposed to be a dating game? Good lord... if dates really went like this... reproducing would be a chore all in itself. Bad game, not at all fun... and completely not worth the money spent for it.

Great game, with some downsides..., May 2, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Singles: Flirt Up Your Life (CD-ROM)
This is truly a fun game, but it does have it downsides, but first the good: Well, it plays like the sims and if you like the sims are bound to like this in someway, however, there is a little less to do in this then in the sims, the graphics are great. The characters have great facial expressions, and look good as well, the objects look good too, but not as good as the characters. The sound is funny and good to listen too the music used is catchy and sounds good, there is sim like talking in this game, you know like gibberish, but it still sounds funny and great. The gameplay is great you live your two singles lifes out, take care of their needs like in the sims, as well as getting them to like each other and eventually love each other and "do the wild thing" you know what I mean that is the goal in the game, but don't worry when you beat it you can still continue on and get married to each other (no babies though) too bad there are no partys or anyone else seen for that matter, but that doesn't matter too much, in fact not at all for this game.
Now the bad: The gameplay is fun but a little shallow compared to the sims, in the sims you could have babies interact with hundreds of objects have partys and lots of friends, in this you end up loving the other single that is your roommate and that's it, there are a good amount of objects, but there should have been more "fun" stuff to take care of your singles "fun" need. Also no creating your own character, you stick with their already made ones, a little lame, not a whole lot though but a little, also you never go outside of the apartment your in, dang, no mail, no bills, which takes away some of the challenge and the game is easy enough with keeping up with needs, still fun though.
Overall a good game not as good as the sims 2, but a good play none-the-least. Have fun playing the game (if you get it).

Not that bad, February 11, 2006
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Singles: Flirt Up Your Life (CD-ROM)
This game is not as bad as everyone's reviewing it. You can't really compare it to Sims 2 as Singles was out before Sims 2. It has good graphics (I would say better than Sims 2 a little bit) and it is challenging to earn money to buy stuff. There aren't any cheats I found that give you easy money like Sims which kind of kills the whole fun of earning it. The only thing i don't like is that is doesn't have many items to buy and not many different building choices. Since it is not the Sims series they don't have a bunch of expansions and no downloadable fan sites, it doesn't have the replay like the Sims 2 series. The price is cheap now and its worth buying in my opinion.
