5.0 out of 5 stars PUNK!
Street Punk. You know the kids that walk around in combat boots and have really spikey hair, and they have tons of patches and crap. This is the style of punk they like. I love this CD. Every song is crafted so well. They have a good mixtures of some old songs, and live songs. Love it.
1. Time Is Now 5/5
2. Looks Like Trouble 5/5
3. Full Circle 5/5...

You know i hear people say how great the virus are. FOLLY!!!!FOLLY!!!!!Lets dress hardcore and make songs that sound like rancid thats really cool. Who would want to sound like tim armsrongs no talent ass clown band anyways? If you want to listen to hardcore bands that dont suck on punk core records than listen to the vraukers or clt 45.

5.0 out of 5 stars Philly Punx, July 17, 2003

Philly's punk heroe's can't be stopped. Rocking harder then just about any band out their, this album has good live performances, and also their best studio releases. Hardcore punk can survive through metalcore and emocore, posing as the real thing, and The Virus is an example of that. Philly Punx.

5.0 out of 5 stars Punkcore's Honor Roll of Punk, July 17, 2004

Punkcore records is famous for The Casualties, Varukers, and Lower Class Brats. Another great band on the label is The Virus. Their mix of Blitz and The Exploited influence is amazing and they pound out some of the best punk around today. This album is a mix of their singles and rare songs that Street Punk fans will definately love.

Their mixture of fast and melodic hardcore and Oi! is amazing. The sing along melodies are great and the lyrics have great meaning. The guitar work and vocals are a great match and add an amazing edge to the music, and the drums and rhythm section are great. This is definately a great choice for fans of other bands on the punkcore label and old school bands like Blitz, The Exploited, and The Varukers. Pick this up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Punk Core!!!!!!!!!!!!!, November 21, 2006
This review is from: Singles and Rarities (Audio CD)
For the record label punkcore records, there are many interesting bands, however nothing like the virus from Philly. Get this album some live tracks some regular, oh the one of the best tracks is covering the Exploited and the angelic upstarts, but also celebrity gossip is really good song buy this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Punx Unite!, July 30, 2004
This review is from: Singles and Rarities (Audio CD)
I first heard of the Virus through the New York street punx, The Casualties. Now if you like your so called punk slow, boring and generally sounding more like a pop band, then look else where now, because this is the almighty street punks The Virus! This band are catchy, fast, talented and nothing less than Pure Punk! If you like bands such as the Casualties, Exploited, English Dogs, Sham 69 or any other similar bands then buy the Virus singles collection. The Virus are the greatest american punk band I have ever heard! This album contains 4 of my favourite punk songs which are 'Looks like Trouble', the incredibly fast 'Full circle', the catchy 'Forgotten Rebel' and the pacy 'Still Fighting for a Future'. Also included is a studio recorded cover of the Exploted's 'I believe in Anarchy' and a live cover of the Angelic Upstarts classic 'Im an Upstart'.
I would have given this album 5 stars, but it is slightly let down by the choice of live recordings included and the inclusion of some weaker tracks like 'Bomb Drop' and 'Celebrity Gossip'. Anyway, the Virus rule so if your looking for a punk album to seriously make you pogo, look no further my friend, buy the Virus Singles and Rarities now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, January 4, 2005
This review is from: Singles and Rarities (Audio CD)
Hey this cd kick ass definetly worth five stars. The vocals are amazing Mike and Paul kick ass. And the rhythms are really good. But if you want even better hardcore music try "Still Fighting For a Future" or even "Nowhere to Hide". These guys kick ass and if any one has any taste about music then you could tell the Virus is Awesome. And that they weren't aiming to sound like Rancid. Thats a posers misconsempution.

THE VIRUS IS GOOD. BUT THEY ARE WAAAAYYYYYYYY BETTER WITH MIKE VIRUS. NOW THEY KINDA SUCK CUZ THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ORIGINAL MEMBERS IN THE BAND ANYMORE. IF U AREJUST GETTING INTO PUNK AND LIKE MIKE VIRUS CHECK OUT HIS CURRENT BAND CHEAP SEX FROM SAN DIEGO, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS WEIRD SINCE THE VIRUS IS FROM PHILLY.
