Well, it's about time we managed to see another album of some of Benny's hits. We probably could see dozens and dozens of CD's crammed full of songs by Benny and not have one repeat on them. Alas it seems it's kind of slow for any company to get around to putting on more of Benny's songs from his long laugh filled career.I haven't purchase this one "YET", sure to pick it up in a little while, and hopefully if amazon or someone has it at a bit of a reasonable discount sometime soon. From what I can tell there is only one repeat of one of his songs on this one (compared to the only other 2 CD's ever released in many years past). Basically the first song of Ernie the fastest milkman in the west is the only repeat. I can't quite tell if it's just a slightly different version compared to the others or not based on the small sample of the song on amazon. And don't forget to try and pick up copies of those older CD's - The Best of Benny Hill and Ultimate Collection, but try not to let anyone rip you off by trying to charge $50, $80, or whatever, that's just ridiculous to try and charge that for a single CD meant to only go for $10 to $15 or so. Benny had been well known to update songs as his career went along, whether it was just simply to adapt it to a slightly different song arrangement or tempo, or he thought he came up with some other tid bits of humor to put into it or change. Of course this doesn't mean that he didn't have a large library of all kinds of humorous songs, not to mention the massive amounts of different skits he's done. Which reminds me, it also appears a few of the tracks either contain partial or complete verbal skits and not songs (not that it won't disappoint, I'm sure). I've been a fan of Benny's probably for 30 years ever since I discovered him in my youth on a cable channel when visiting my grandmother (at home we didn't have cable till I was probably 20, ah well). At least now for several years we have all those lovely DVD sets that A&E cranked out to give us a big sampling of Benny's career. Now to try and rack my brain and figure out how to try and copy portions of that audio off those DVD's and make a major compilation of my own ;-)
