Jim Gill continues his tradition of original play songs, created to get little ones moving, interacting, and most importantly, having fun in this American Library Association's Notable Children's Recording. Gill's songs have influences of jazz, blues, bluegrass, and swing, but are all his own playful rhymes and sound effects. He utilizes a broad instrument selection including acoustic and electric bass and guitar, clarinet and bass clarinet, alto flute, tenor and baritone saxophone, trombone, piano, organ, harmonica, melodic, jaw harp, mandolin, fiddle electric mandolin, banjo, drums, and percussion.

Jim Gill is a genius! His developmentally appropriate music is a huge hit with my kindergarten students. This summer, it totally saved me when teaching summer school to 3rd graders...Dr Jean is too "babyish" for the olders, but they LOVE Jim Gill. Thanks Jim!

Jim Gill sure knows how to capture young children. His CD has catchy lyrics. He also has the children participate. What a great release before we start our "schooltime".

My pre-K kids love this CD. It gets them up and moving. We love doing binocular eyes and driving hands and deciding what type of a vehicle we are driving. It's just fun.
