This CD is a "must have" for anyone who loved Lou Monte and his songs. As an unwavering fan of Lou Monte for 40 years, I have an extensive collection of his records...but have never heard him sing several songs on this beautiful collection. Some tracks are pleasing variations of previous material Lou had done, however most are original.

Listening to the sample songs, brought tears of rememberance of my childhood in Italy. Here in America, I very seldom can listen to my italian heritage music - So Lou Monty was so great! He made cry, made me laugh, made me sigh!

My husband got this as a gift, and he enjoys it very much. Even my sons sing along. Hard to find CD and the price was right.

This is music that my wife remembers from her childhood & so many family & friends gatherings! Fun, romantic & what a voice Lou had; he did not need any sound fudgeing to make him sound like a dream (so says my wife)
If you like the ole Italian music then you should add this to your collection if you have not already done so.

You will definitely enjoy this guy. He must have been a riot in those days. I think I would have enjoyed seeing him performing in person. Bravo!

If you are an Italian American from New York you will love this album. It is Low Monte at his best. I have purchased other Low Monte albums that he has made but his strong voice in this album comes shining through. I guess it was made when he was in his prime. I'm sure everyone will enjoy this album.

If you like Lou Monte then you will like this CD. Lou was sort of the Dr. Demento/Weird Al of the Italian music scene in his time. While many people have heard Dominic the Donkey, there are many other Lou Monte songs to enjoy. If you enjoy this CD check out Pepino the Italian Mouse for his Christmas music (the recording quality is poor, but its a must have).

LIked the item very much, but would like to be able to buy single record songs for LOU Monte instead of a whole album.

I ordered a CD as a gift for my sister - sentimental reasons - the Amazon experience was first rate - arrived within nominated time-frame and in good order.
I recommend Amazon to intending online purchasers.

Thank you "Collectables" for this release.Already occupying a very important place in my collection,this fantastic Cd will be played over & over for many years.I wish it had also included the flip side (on 45RPM) of Roman Guitar (British release) i.e "Amore",another favourite.Iam confident that you will include this favourite of mine in future releases.
