5.0 out of 5 stars Tub catch-all
I have long hair so this is very handy and a money saver when I don't have to call a plumber to do what this catch-all does automatically. Very easy to clean out after each use.

I ordered this strainer a year ago (from Amazon.com) and it worked well. I needed another so I reordered the same thing, but this time the order was filled by another vendor, not directly by Amazon. The vendor shipped me a slightly different strainer that was a bit smaller - and I contacted them and said I wanted the Sinkware 5061 that I had ordered and received in the past. They told me that there was no such thing - that Sinkware was not really a company and they felt they were justified in sending me a strainer that was close to the former style. Needless to say I wasn't happy with this bait-and-switch and I received a refund after complaining to Amazon.com. I don't know why they are still showing the Sinkware 5061 when the vendor says that this product no longer exists.

item is not as pictured. it does not have the black rubber seal wich is pictured around the bath tub strainer. i specifically ordered this item based on this determing factor as i anticipated the rubber seal would keep the strainer from dancing around in the tub when the water is running. had this included the rubber piece it would have received 5 stars because it actually works failry well at catching hair and other particles. seller is misleading consumer and amazon should remove picture untill it reflects what is actually being purchased..

2.0 out of 5 stars mesh fails after a few weeks use, November 16, 2009

The mesh at the 90° bends will fail and prick your fingers (or toes) with tiny little broken wire "pins". Be careful when using your finger to scrape out hair caught in this trap as you will draw blood if you aren't careful!

I have long hair and this works well to keep most of it out of the drain. Tried lots of different styles, many the hair seems to slip under anyway, but this does a decent job of keeping the hair out of the drain.

As other reviewers have stated, there is no rubber gasket on this as pictured in the listing. It is all metal. I didn't feel like returning it as it is a hassle and I needed a strainer.

Looks great. Works well. Clogs a bit more than the OE that came with the sink due to the very fine mesh. But do to the very fine mesh, it catches everything. Nice buy for a nice price.

The trim ring might be stainless steel....but the screen is NOT!
Bought three.....they were all in the trash in two weeks when the screen got rusty.

Sorry, but only two stars from me. The pic shows rubber under the metal circle. In reality, you will get just a junky made in china strainer. Actually, I found a very nice one at bed bath and beyond store.

This is great product that washes any food residue away. Instead of wire mesh this is well made stainless steel. Totally recommend this. I bought another one. I am going to buy this as gift for other people as house warming gift.
