Great production and at least 4 great songs, February 19, 2009
Most people (from what I understand in past reviews) did not like Zeromancer's last record from 2004, ZZYZX. Obviously, this has to do with the mainstream nature of the songs like Erotic Saints and Famous Last Words. This review is kind of bias because I thought that album was as equally strong as Eurotrash. Blood Music, Stop The Noise, and Feed You With A Kiss are probably some of Zeromancer's best written songs.
Fast forward to 2009. Changes should be expected. Are they major? Well, not really. Unfortunately, the biggest change is the songwriting quality. Sinners International owes more to Clone Your Lover and Eurotrash than it does ZZYZX as it is definitely a return to a harder sound, especially the guitars and vocals. Alex Moklebust's vocals sound great on here and will remind the long time fans of the Seigmen days. He has a gritty quality on here that we haven't heard in a while. The production is tight, and the mix is great. This is truly their most polished effort, with swirling arpeggiated synth lines, buzz saw guitars, low end bass, and solid drumming. I'm Yours To Lose and Doppleganger I Love You are the true highlights as to be expected, considering they have been released to the public for two years now. Other highlights are My little Tragedy and Your Imaginary Friends. Great melodies in those songs.
Now for the negatives. The songwriting has gone a bit downhill. The hooks and melodies are not as memorable and the lyrics are kind of lacking, perfect example would be in Sinners International and Two Skulls (the heaviest song on the album). I have listened to the record several times and I'm having a hard time recognizing memorable songs, mostly because there aren't much. Anyway, if you are a fan, you need this album because it does have some essentials as noted above. Just expect some re-hashing and overly familiar song structures and themes. One would have hoped that a 4+ year absence from the scene would have given them the time to make a truly epic record.
Zeromancer's best years were between Eurotrash and ZZYZX. Sinners International wont win them any new fans but it will surely please the old ones, for a while anyways. It is worth purchasing but don't expect to be blown away.

not sure yet., March 3, 2009
I totally agree with the first review, 100%. Alex has a great sound but the lyrics are immature and a little insulting to American ladies, (which I am) and Ive heard better. Its like they tried for a shock value instead of quality writing. Ive heard worse of course, much worse, but when you have heard Zeromancers/or Alex's past albums, (Even with Bermuda Triangle) you expect alot, and I know Kim can do better lyrically. Anyway I bought it overseas, imported it over and give it 3 stars for effort. I did like all their other albums and will probably like this one more after a few listens.

kinda satisfied but this albums is laking , March 30, 2009
Well ive been a longtime fan of Zeromancer from way back when i saw an ad for Eurotrash in a magazine. up until then i had never heard of them. and im still the only one of my friends who know who they are. I now have all their albums and and luv almost all their music. ZZYZX is deffinately their best album to date due to the fact that this album has the most memorable songs and syth lines. expecially blood music there this techno breakdown that just gives me chills even to this day. that album really made me love them. Eurotrash i felt wasnt that specioal it had a few good songs that i really liked but a lot of the album i was always skipping over to just get to my fav traks. clone you lover was their first effort and deffinetely was groundbreaking. and set the tone over the next few years for every follow up album. Unfortunatley Zeromancer just doesnt have that large of a fan base here in the U.S. so getting a chance to see em live is virtually non existant at this point unless they set some tour dates here, or i make the trak all the way to europe. Now this brings me to Sinners International these guys have kept me waiting for this album for over 4 years scince ZZYZX droped and the wait was horrible. this album was constanely pushed back due to internal struggles in the band and other reasons. I was expecting for this album after the hudge eargasim that ZZYZX was to be something truly epic and bar raising, because theve had several years to record the thing. I would have to rate this album only 4 out of 5 starz unfortunately mainly due to the fact that this album only has 10 songs on it. and the album is just over 41 minuts in length . I mean cmon man u make me wait 4 years for new material and all i get is 10 songs thats like only 2 and a half songs a year. i mean how seriouse are these guys anymore? its very dissapointing to not have any additional bonus tracks expecially scince i got the new album emidiately and they didnt like have a limited edition version or something. they really dissapointed me on this one. this should have had at least 12 like their last album if not more. Now onto the actual music itself, for the most part i luv it its been in my car stereo for the past week and a half and i luv every song expecialy . doppleganger, tragedy and sounds like love. these 3 traks truley are ther best 3 on this album they show the kinda traks that i really wanted to hear from these guys with this new long awaited album expecially when zzyzx was sucha masterpiece. other good traks are fictional, two skulls, yours to loose and ammonite. two skulls and sounds like luv r deffinately the 2 hardist traks on this album. siiners international its a good opener but i woulda loved something a little heaver. ammonite is another classic very hypnotizing trak from zeromancer and a great album closer the 2 other traks on this album are deffinetely the most forgettable they are filth noir and imaginary friends. their ok but seem more like fillers to me. all in all its an awsome fouth effort and very pleasing to me as a long time fan. However it lacks in a few areas, the last album had all these really awsome techno break downs in the songs that just rocked soo hard. and a few songs like new madonna and gone to your head that truely completed the album as sweet bonuas traks. unfortunately this album kinda lacks in that. and i few of the lyrics sound a little imature. soo this album gets 4 starz from me not enought songs and needs more of the pulsings synth drivin songs f the past like house of cards and Germany.i really hope their next attempt if there even is one Is gonna make me excited again to be a zeromancer fan once more until then i gues ill have to satisfied with wut i have
