Good power, low price,

Great price for a 60W iron, cheapest I could find. Does its job well enough, even though it smokes a little sometimes from between the tip and barrel (it did this before I first used solder, so it's really the iron that is smoking, but it's really minimal).

Great price but not hot enough for lead-free project,

I'll still keep this iron. I suppose I could use it to assist in dual iron, 60/40-base desoldering of bad capacitors. It easily puts out heat for lead-containing solder. It didn't put out enough heat to remove bad caps from a lead-free iMac G5 motherboard. I thought the 60 watts rating would do the job. I'm a bit disappointed, but this iron was inexpensive/free ship/within a larger order. I'll check out on the web what others have used to get the job done.

Great value for 60w soldering iron,
This review is from: Sinometer 60 Watts Soldering Iron, UL listed (Misc.)
If you need a cheap soldering iron for soldering large electronic connections, look no further. This thing gets as hot as I expected and works great on those large connections that a 35w iron can't handle. It comes with one fairly large tip, though anything requiring a smaller tip should likely be using a lower-power soldering iron. Best value on a 60w iron you can get!
