Book Description

February 1, 2009

It’s had twenty-five years to cool off, but Sins is still as hot as ever! Sins is a decadent treat oozing with dirt and gossip that would make anyone blush, but that’s the fun of it. Sins is a super-glossy tale of passion and intrigue set in the world of haute-couture that starts during World War II and ends in the early ’80s.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic in the Genre, August 22, 2010
This review is from: Sins--The 25th Anniversary Edition (Paperback)
Poor little wealthy protagonist Hélène Junot, caught in a treacherous game of revenge, all because of the wrong-doings of an evil man way back when. No wonder she's as ruthless and strong-willed as any guy. Who wouldn't be? Her only salvation is the love for her family and the one person who can set her heart ablaze, if he doesn't break it in little pieces first. But with the duo team of Nick Bienes and Rhea Gallaher behind the Judith Gould name nothing is as it seems. Indeed, hold on to your seat, for SINS is a 700 + page-turner readers of glitz and glamour won't soon forget. Filled with beautiful people and opulent settings around the Haute Couture world, Gould's first novel goes back and forth throughout the years to bring you one juicy read worthy of any well-orchestrated romance saga. The narrative is as addictive as the plot itself, and includes a colorful cast of characters. So go on, indulged in SINS; you'll be glad you did.-----Martin Boucher

4.0 out of 5 stars oh, the passions of sins!, May 23, 2009
This review is from: Sins--The 25th Anniversary Edition (Paperback)
i saw the movie before i read the book. the movie starred joan collins. it is set during world war ll. it is about a young girl, {helene junot} who overcomes the cruelty, adversities, and the atrosities of war and becomes a very successful fashion magazine mogul. the story begins when helene is about 12 years old which continues into her early fifties. did anyone notice that joan collins was in her early fifties when she starred in the film??? except they used a younger actress to play her "younger years." the book, of course, is alot better than the film. i enjoyed this book. for everyone who loves, those old war stories filled with love, romance, mystery, murder, and mayhem, this is truly a very good read.
