About the Author

Liliana Hart is a bestselling and award-winning author in both the mystery and romance genres. After starting her first novel her freshman year of college, she immediately became addicted to writing and knew she'd found what she was meant to do with her life. She has no idea why she majored in music. Liliana is an avid reader and a believer in all things romance. Her books are filled with witty dialogue, steamy sex, and the all-important happily-ever-afters her romantic soul craves. She lives in Texas with her husband and four children, and they occasionally let her meet her deadlines.

5.0 out of 5 stars Once Again!!!!!! April 16, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I fell in LOVE with Liliana Hart's books in January, I read Dane first and quickly followed with all the other MacKenzie books- and then all her other books- Her writing style has me ensnared and I can't get enough of her books. I read so much it's hard to find books that can keep me on the edge of my seat, and are not predictable; Liliana Hart is anything but predictable in her writing and always keeps you guessing [of course in all romance books the guy gets the girl- but thats not what I mean by this] her books play on every emotion a book should, suspence, heartache, love, happiness, tenderness, ect. I would highly recomend any one of her books, they are always so good you don't even want to put them down(it took me less than a day to read each of her books). I suggest that anyone who loves romance books get this book, it wont disappoint, and you will find yourself in love with a new author if your not already.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fast and easy read May 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
There are already so many summaries on this book that I won't bother you with another one. This is your typical romantic suspense, where the plot is predictable and no unexpected twists or turns are offered. OK, maybe the character development was also a bit lacking and the suspense part was seriously neglected. However, the author made all that up by offering an emotional story about second chances. This process of redemption was peppered with steamy sex scenes and a perfect happy end.

A nice escape read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another hit! April 17, 2013
By Tianna
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Liliana does it again! Hot men coupled with hot action. After such betrayal can you ever trust the only man you ever loved, that's up to Sophia. Can she, he tells her he did it to keep her safe, But sometimes safety is overrated when your reality is hell.

4.0 out of 5 stars Declan has always been my favorite September 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Declan didn't drink much coffee in this book like he did in the other books!! I missed that in this book. I thought that was cute the way he always had coffee when he shows up unannounced in the other books.

This was a great book, but the editing still sucks. It was better than the other books in the series, but, with all the books she has written, she should have better editing.
I loved the heroine as she was stronger and didn't cry all the time.

I ENJOYED the series and cannot wait for the next book.

This author and book is recommended.

One star deduction because of the lack of editing.
Please change your editor!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Glimpse of a Real Man protecting his Woman February 17, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
First time I read a book from this author, I was reminded of Lora Leigh's books like Wild Card and Killer Secrets series. Thanks to the readers who take time to write a review! I love Declan. I am looking for my Declan in the real world! Declan is the model for the strong, confident, man that it seems America is losing everyday. I fell in love his character starting on pages 99-104 when he discovered that the women he loved and left was raped by her husband, a man he once called friend and partner in CIA. Sophia was so damaged by the rapes and treatment from her ex and, thought to be dead husband, that she could not experience any type of sexual pleasure from self or anyone else. Declan forged in and addressed the problem by saying ' "but what if I'm the one who can give you what you need?".. He was giving her a precious gift. There were no expectations. No pressure.' This is important to me because I specialize in sexual assault as a psychologist for the last twenty years and I use writers like Hart to keep me grounded that romance and wonderful men are still in the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Total Turn on January 3, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a story about the MacKenzie brother Declan and a girl named Sophia who find each other again after 10 years. Originally when these two were together, Declan got scared for Sophia because of his line of work with the CIA. He felt she was in danger, so he forced her away, telling her he did not love her anymore; which was not true. Ten years later, Declan is forced back into Sophia's life because she is in danger from something her dead husband Kade has done. Sophia does not trust Declan at first, but after some things happen, she begins to realize she still loves him, and he spends a lot of time proving to her that he loves her dearly.
This is my favorite MacKenzie story. I love them all, but this one is so sexy, thrilling, and has incredible descriptions!
I cannot wait to hear what has happened with Shane MacKenzie.

1.) I have a Coke first thing every morning instead of coffee.

2.) I try to read at least one book a day (when I'm not on deadline), sometimes two or three if I have the itch. Reading is one of my greatest pleasures.

3.) I decided to be a writer my freshman year of college. Which, of course, is why I majored in music and art history.

4.) I started writing my first book when I was eighteen. It was about a 30-year-old virgin assassin. Yes, you read that right. It's buried in the far corner of my closet.

5.) I didn't complete my first book until I was twenty-five, but I've written nineteen books since then. I'm 32.

6.) I love being a writer. It gives me an excuse to think about different ways to kill people and to take weird vacations for the tax deductions.

7.) I could eat macaroni and cheese every day. I love it! But my hips do not.

8.) I'm very slow to make new friends. I'm a pretty solitary person, so when you see me at booksignings and conventions, I'm completely out of my comfort zone, which is why it's so nice when I have readers come up and talk to me like they already know me. It puts me at ease.

9.) My favorite cities are: New Orleans, Louisiana--Dublin, Ireland--Vevey, Switzerland--Napa Valley, California

10.) I like Milk Duds more than I probably should. I'm sure one day it'll catch up to me.

11.) I love to travel. I'm perfectly content to wake up on a random morning and say, I'm going here today." And then I'll buy a plane ticket and pack a suitcase. There are still so many places I'd love to see.

12.) I spent a summer in Ireland when I was in college with a random family I'd never met or spoken to before. It was one of the bravest and most adventurous things I've done. A great experience.

13.) I hated high school. If I could go back and do it over I'd try to graduate early and get the heck out of there.

14.) I have a weakness for fast cars.

15.) I performed at Carnegie Hall when I was in college, and toured Europe with a percussion ensemble one summer.

16.) I spent four years in college majoring in Percussion. It is now completely useless since I'm writing books full time, but it does give me an advantage when playing Rock Band.

17.) I'm addicted to gaming. When I take vacations between books, a good part of the time goes to playing RPGs.

18.) The cleanest place I've ever been is Switzerland.

19.) I don't gamble. When I go to Vegas I spend my time at concerts and shows.

20.) Purple is my favorite color. Go Frogs! (TCU alum)

21.) I love a good mystery.

22.) I've had impacted wisdom teeth for years, but I have no desire to get them taken out.

23.) The Keurig is the best invention known to man. I love my English breakfast tea.

24.) I like to sit down in the shower. I'll often stick my Kindle in a plastic bag and read in there for an hour.

25.) I spend a lot of time thinking of ways to kill people, and I have a tendency to zone out in the middle of a conversation if it's a really good idea.
