Erotica At Its Best!,
By Beverly "Beverly" (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sins and Secrets (Paperback)
One of the best erotica books I've read in a long time. The sex scenes are well-written, but unlike some erotica that has no story or character development, this story does, which makes it an all around pleasure to read. A very pleasurable book from beginning to end. A story that stimulates and surpasses all of the sensuality tests and scales. What I like the most about this story is how the reader can choose to have either the male or the female as dominant in the sex scenes. Peter has loved Pamela from the moment she was a child while working as the family barrister. Upon her father's death, Pamela becomes Peter's ward, but she is now becoming a beautiful young woman and his sexual attraction to her is strong. He sends her away to boarding school in order to avoid the stimulation and taking the innocence of a young girl. Pamela returns from school as a beautiful, adult young woman, who is coming into her own sexuality and has stacks of the famous "Pearl" journals, wanting nothing more than to share what she has learned in these stories with Peter. They immediately recognize their sexual attraction to each other has grown even more during her absence and the sensual games between them begin. More than an erotic story of just sexual escapades, this is also a love story - and written in the Victorian era - making it a historical erotic romance - makes it even more alluring for romantica fans. I highy recommend this book for adults who enjoy a well-written historical erotic romance and I look forward to many more books written by P.F. Kozak in the future.

Hot and sexy,

This review is from: Sins and Secrets (Paperback)
I absolutely adored this book. I picked it up at my local bookstore, flipped through it, and was immediately attracted to the fact that I could choose the way I wanted the story to go. It wasn't until I got home that I read how truly erotic this book is. The sex scenes are very well written and I just fell in love with it.

Sins and Secrets
by P.F. Kozak Kensington Aphrodisia ISBN: 0-7582-1418-9 Category: Historical Romance Release date: October 2006 Reviewed by: Terry South for CataRomance (03/07) [...] P.F. Kozak's erotic historical romance, Sins and Secrets is set in Victorian London and is a very unique choose your own sexual adventure. A sensual delight with blazing hot eroticism. Set in Victorian London, as a time when people were proper, but yet indulged in their sensuality, passion and sexual inclinations behind closed doors. The author is so vivid in detail that we are transported back in time. In this erotic tale, we as the reader can choose to have either the male or the female dominate the sex scenes, this is quite a change from the ordinary. Pamela Kingston wishes to indulge her fantasies with her guardian Peter Rennard, the man whom she has loved forever. And Peter has loved Pamela from the moment she was a child, working as the family barrister. When Pamela's father dies she becomes the ward of Peter. Pamela is blooming into a beautiful young lady and Peter's sexual attraction to her is becoming very strong. Peter sends Pameal off to boarding school in hopes to prevent his growing desires and to avoid the taking of her innocence. He must keep his promise to Pamela's father, as he promised to make sure Pamela would marry into someone of her own status. Upon her return, she has fully blossomed into a beautiful woman and is discovering her sexuality and desires. They immediately recognize their sexual attraction has grown even stronger due to their seperation. Peter introduces Pamela to her hidden desires and her sexual fantasies. But as time continues, Peter realizes he must find someone to marry Pamela, but he cannot stand the thought of someone else touching her. Will Peter find someone for Pamela to marry, or will he marry her? You will find wonderful characters, adventure, love, romance, and erotic sexual tension making this one hard to put down. This is a highly recommended historical romance read as it sizzles with passion and sexual tensions.

WOW! Hot, Hot, HAWT!,

A wonderfully written love story with an intricate premise, well-crafted characters and incredible sensuality. I couldn't get enough of this sexy historical romance!!! In fact, I missed my train stop one morning and finally made it to work forty minutes late!!! I read P.F. Kozak's first erotic romance novel, Passion, and I didn't think it could get any better. I was so wrong. And perhaps the best thing about Kozak's writing is how intelligent it is. This is erotica for readers who'd like their intellect stimulated along with their um...other parts. I'm a fan for life.

Lacked plot and character development,
By
This review is from: Sins and Secrets (Paperback)
There is practically no story to this novel. I thought from reading the back of the book that the passion would be between Peter and his ward Pamela, a woman he has desired for a while. Well it is and it isn't. There are interludes between Peter and the maid Lucy, which always seem to have the feeling of being non-consensual between a wealthy employer and a servant. Then there are interludes between Pamela and another servant Jack. Peter wrestles with his conscious for about two minutes before he decides to go after his ward and Pamela never comes across like she is really in love with Peter, only in lust with him. The sins and secrets are really the times Pamela is with Jack or when Pamela is trying her wiles on Peter after meeting with a courtesan. This book gets one star for its lack of plot and its one dimensional characters.

disappointment,
By Marina "marina" (Nashville, TN) - See all my reviews

I absolutely hated this book! I read so I can be "taken away" and this book did none of that> I have just begun reading erotic fiction and I was lucky enough to have read Sharon Page first so I guess I expected better since this book had gotten some decent reviews. The book was silly, the fact that you got to "choose" which character you wanted to do what, was irritating..and I never felt that I could get a good grasp on their personalities. I want a story to "take me away." This one definitely did not!! There was no smooth transition from chapter to chapter and all the characters seemed juvenile to me.

Horrible!!,
By

This book was just too much. After awhile you get so sick of all the sex. It seems that every page was just sex and there was really no story at all to the book. In my opinion it was stupid and a waste of time.
