5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
A great album. Wonderful music and great lyrics. A little darker tone than the previous albums but just as catchy and even more profund the lyrics. Looks like they`ve matured musically and are trying a few new things with great results. Los Sententas and Paso de Gigante, En Algun Recuerdo are stars but the entire album is great. You won`t regret buying this gem...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Step Backwards
I think Bacilos would be well-served to go back to the drawing board. This album sounds like they did not put the work in to write some excellent songs; the music's sound is not very memorable, the lyrics aren't very memorable, and it's almost as if they just changed the words from bad songs from their previous albums to make this one. I saw them in concert in Virginia,...

This album is great... Bacilos continues to evolve into new music styles and delivers a great musical mix that once again shows their ability to deliver on so many styles. "Porque Brillamos" is my favorite song.

I had low expectationsfor this album, and my perceptions of where the group might be headed turned out to be false. I originally had beleived that they would be another latin group who only managed to produce a one wonder album. They show signs of different maturation in this album from their first album Caraluna, with soulful songs such as Sangre Americana while staying true to their roots of fun pop latin funk with songs like Pasos de Gigante, and Colores. Definitely an album that can be enjoyed from beginning to end.

Con este disco Bacilos demuestra su gran solidez musical.
Su variedad de ritmos y la profundidad de sus letras, son una gran lección para algunos musicos, que creen que modelar y brincar los hace los mejores.

5.0 out of 5 stars great album, October 7, 2004
This review is from: Sinverguenza (Audio CD)
what a great album- each track gets better and better/ this is what great latin rock/pop can be- we have such a rich culture- and bacilos is able to put it all together. Love the zamba argentina influences as well as the Sangre Americana track for its social message/ its about time we had a band like this...Its worth every penny and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better vocals, great songs, June 14, 2005
This review is from: Sinverguenza (Audio CD)
After their previous album produced a couple of hits, Bacilos went back to the drawing board. Singer and writer Jorge Villamiz honed his vocal technique. Sinverguenza takes Bacilos to a new level of music-making. Some songs on this album offer social commentary, others are about human relationships. No two songs are alike. It is impossible to determine which will be radio hits, as all offer something unique. This album is a leap forward for Bacilos in music making. This is a much better, mature, and talented group than in their previous album. If you liked their previous album, or if you just like great modern latin music, buy this album.

This review is from: Sinverguenza (Audio CD)
Bacilos not have a you that that I like the truth, at the beginning they didn't convince me but the truth this album this very good one, although in the list of Latin albums sold in U.S they didn't have a good premiere it doesn't care while you like it, the first single "PASOS DE GIGANTE" it is quite good the same as the rest of the disk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mas maduro, April 26, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sinverguenza (Audio CD)
I loved this CD. Being an immigrant myself, I've always identified with the lyrics and experiences related in their songs, as with the rythms. This last album seemed to me less anxious, and more contemplative. Bacilos' music is like a microsm of the larger latin american immigrant experience in Miami, and this CD confirms that narrative. They manage to express that reality in a unpretentious genuine way and it feels good.
