Fun to work with
We use these on long drives or plane rides and they're very fun. They're not too hard, not too easy so they fill the time well.

Easy Crosswords, Sip and Solve
This crossword book is small so it is great to take along in your purse or to keep in the glove box of your car. It says they are "easy". They are not as easy as other books called easy. I will plug along.

Bad Clues, Worse Answers,

While some of the clues and answers are legitimate, others are simply ridiculous: Clue: Twisty Letter. Answer: Ess. Are you really allowed to spell out letters of the alphabet in a crossword puzzle? Clue: Existence. Answer: Are. REALLY??? My boyfriend and I came across this book of puzzles at our local coffee shop and I must admit, we have gotten lots of laughs out of trying to solve them, but we are laughing AT them.
Okay-- to update, we have finished the entire book and have to admit, Longo's crosswords have grown on us. The weird clues and answers are part of his peculiar charm. Some of the outdated cultural references are hilarious too. |
