My son Ramsay loves Thomas anything...The Tophams are made very well with moving arms and they can even sit..We have found the Tophams having dinner at the home on Barbie many times..Just shows you how far owning a railroad can take you....

The Sir Topham and Lady Hatt figures are quite basic, with the face being a painted wooden sphere. The arms are movable, but they're pretty stiff.Kids probably won't mind the lack of detail, especially since the characters in the Thomas videos aren't exactly crafted with fine details, either. A nice addition for kids who love the whole Thomas the Tank Engine series of books, trains, and videos.

These were smaller than we thought, but great for pretend play. They are not too hard to get to stand up despite such small feet. My son enjoys using Sir Topham to tell the engines where to go and what job they must do.

These are perfect if your child is a Thomas the Train fan. They appear to be sturdy and durable and look just like the picture. There was an odd odor of moth balls when I opened them. I'm not sure what that was, but a damp cloth and a spray of cleaner took care of that.
