More About the Author
I live in New Zealand with my family in a house overlooking the Pacific Ocean. My first book was published in 1989 and my latest - The Adventures of George and Timmy was published last year. This book is a compilation of three of my "Just George" series about Enid Blyton's favourite character from the Famous Five books. Sadly, the publishers forgot to put my name on the cover of this new book so new writers beware! I have also written under the name Lucy Daniels for the Animal Ark series. I love sitting at my computer thinking up new stories although have been taking a break lately. Most of my over forty published books are available from second hand book dealers and continue to be enjoyed by thousands of children and young adults. Lots of people tell me they would like to write a book - my advice is ... do it! If you have a book inside you the creating will be easy.

This book is truly a worthwhile read. It is the best science fiction book I have ever read, because it really transports you to another world. It really captured my imagination, the detail was breath taking. The main character is compassionate outspoken and brave - and a 17 year old girl. I recommend this unusual book to everyone.
