5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great.
This product is a breeze to set up. You won't even need to look at the directions. It works as advertised. The transmitter and receiver are both very small and extremely lightweight. The receiver gets its power from the satellite radio, so you only need to plug it into the radio.

2.0 out of 5 stars Short in the wiring
Very disappointing. After 6 months, it stopped working because of a short in the wiring between the receiver and the repeater. The wiring is very light gauge.

This saved me a lot of aggravation, I am now able to set up my Sirius receiver anywhere in the house. Both the transmitter and receiver were smaller than I expected which was a bonus. Very easy to set up and avoids extra wiring or extra external antennas. I use it with an older Sirius receiver and the antenna that came with it and it works great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Directly Attached Antenna, July 3, 2008

I've had my repeater for about a month now and I like it. Before I purchased the repeater I would have to locate the radio near a window so the direct attached antenna could receive a signal. I installed the repeater in my basement, attached to a Sirius Outdoor Antenna (highly recommended). I can now locate my radio anywhere in my home, including the second story and the garage. You may have to play with the antenna on the receiver a bit for best reception or move the receiver an inch this direction or the other, but the product does work.

SIRIUS Echo SIR-WRS1 Home signal repeater for SIRIUS Satellite radios
I've had Sirius radio for a few years and love it a lot but found that my house is not positioned in the best place to receive the satellite signal. There's only one location where I can place the antenna for reception and that required leaving the cable strung along an open, hardwood floor. I bought this unit because my stereo receiver is placed in the center of my house and not near a window or door. I wasn't enthusiastic about running the antenna cable through the wall. The Echo SIR-WRS1 repeater and receiver unit are about the size of an Altoid mint tin but thinner and installation takes about five minutes. After about two months of use everything is still working fine and I no longer have a cable strung along my hardwood flooring (a tripping hazard for sure). The repeater unit has a short power cable so it needs placement near an outlet, it's only real restriction. I would buy this product again or make sure my next house faces Sirius satellites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb...works great, April 21, 2009

I have the Echo transmitter installed on the second floor of my house, and the receiver 2 floors down in the basement. It works beautifully. The key to getting good reception in your house is having the Echo transmitter connected to an outdoor antenna. I tried the indoor antenna and got terrible reception. Once you have the outdoor antenna you're going to get great reception and a strong signal. The Echo system is a great way to move your radio all over the house without needing extra wires.

I felt so trapped using my sirus in only one room. This product has opened up my whole house to sirus. I can move it from room to room depending on my mood. I can even take it out on the porch and still get perfect reception. This is a must have for any home unit user of sirus.

I have the sirius radio for use in the home and wanted to use the unit in an upstairs room. I was unable to find a suitable location to mount an antenna on the second floor to receive a satellite signal. My antenna had to be located in the front of the home. So with the Sirius Echo SIR-WRS1 I was able to leave the antenna on the first floor and move the radio to the second floor. I receive excellent reception and have been using the device for a month now with out any problems. I would highly recommend it if you have a similar problem. The installation is very easy. Just plug in the repeater at the location of the antenna and the receiver by the radio and the job is done.

4.0 out of 5 stars Less than Ideal, better than alternatives., November 8, 2011

I have always felt that the Sirius or XM hardware lagged behind the software. The requirement for a "line of sight" view of the North East sky (I live in California) severely restricts antenna placement, and, unless you are good at stringing cords thru attics and walls, receiver placement.

At present I am using a Sirius Stiletto in a Stiletto Executive
Dock. This is a good, but not ideal hardware solution, as the display on the receiver is small, and while the dock is small, the fact that the power supply is a separate unit makes moving the receiver less convenient than it could be.

The SIR-WRS1 allows me to use a roof mounted antenna, and run the cable into my attic, where I have placed the repeater. The Receiver half of the unit is velcro'd to the back of the dock, allowing me to unplug the unit and place it in any room in the house.

The whole setup works, but it is less convenient than a Boom Box, where the antenna, the display, the power supply, and the controls are combined in a single unit.
