It Works For Me, It's a Keeper,

This review is from: Sistema 10106 ProWash 1750 PSI at 1.6 GPM Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
It only took a few minuites to unpack & snap on the handle & storage reel. The gun & hose connectors are metal, the pump has three stainless steel pistons & a lever on the unit adjusts pressure from 400 to 1750 pounds. The output of the detergent bottle is adjustable. Setting the pressure to max & connecting the sudsing nozzle automaticly draws detergent when the trigger is pulled. It performed very well during it's first workout. I washed the front side of my house, blasted peeling paint from 5 wood collums, a garage door & washed three vehicles including the engine compartments. The only rest time was while changing lances or moving the unit.

Great unit if you have small areas needing cleaning (i.e.-very small driveway, patio, deck, etc). I ended up returning this item and getting gas powered unit. Electric does have its advantages. Electric is quieter, shuts off pump when trigger released, somewhat easier to use, and lighter weight. Again, if you only need a light duty pressure washer, this unit would be a very good choice. If you try to make it do medium duty tasks, you'll be frustrated by the time it will take you.

very effective machine,

I have used this machine several times and it works great. I own a four wheeler and a four wheel drive truck. They get muddy a lot and this machine cleans mud and other gunk off quickly and easily. The built in soap dispenser works great and it also come with all the accessories you will ever want or need(brush, turbo nozzle, jet nozzle, soap dispensing nozzle, extension, quick couplings, etc.) This machine is also built solid. I took it apart enough to know that they use metal and strong orings where there is a lot of pressure. It is able to strip some paint but not a whole lot. If you are looking to clean vehicles, spray sidewalks or siding, etc, this is definitely the washer you want.

Great Machine,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sistema 10106 ProWash 1750 PSI at 1.6 GPM Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
This machine did a great job on my car, house siding and back deck. In the past, I have spent hours cleaning with just a garden hose. The Prowash cut cleaning to one fourth the time it usally had taken me. It was easy to assemble and the manual was very simple and straight forward in explaining the operation of the machine. I had purchased a Home Depot machine two years' ago and the inlet connection which was plastic keep breaking on me so I had given up on electric pressure washers completely until a friend recommend this unit. The inlet connection on the Prowash is metal so I felt my problems were over. It proved to be true. All in all-great machine. I recommend it.

I'm Impressed,

I own my own construction business, so I'm used to having to buy tools and equipment that cost as much as, or considerably more than the little sistema prowash 10106. Actually I already have a much bigger washer for jobsites that cost about 10 times as much,so I was skeptical about a washer that cost less than 150 bucks.Well I just got it yesterday, opened it ,assembled it and started it up. Wowww! This thing is nice, very functional, very well made and very easy to use.I washed out the garage, washed off the garage approach, switched nozzles and washed the car.Man,this thing is handy. In this day and age of disposable consumer products, this is a nice surprise! For the price, this is a great washer! I'm Impressed. I would give it 5 stars, except that the hose doesn't swivel, that is a little annoying, but not a big problem.

I won't repeat what others have said, except to confirm that it's very easy to set-up and appears to be well-made considering the price. I tried cleaning a deck that was almost black with accumlated algae and grim. It worked but I had to narrow the stream to about 1 inch to be effective. So, the good news is it can clean even a severly dirty deck but it's going to take you a long time. Sounds nuts but using this machine is really fun, I actually had a good time. It's not too loud and it makes great water mist rainbows! It's now 2010 and this thing is still running strong. I just cleaned some algae off the side of my house and it did a great job.

I have owned this Sistema pressure washer since Christmas 2004 and have used it 4 times. It broke down two out the four times used. I had to send it back to the factory for repairs and received it back to find it would run 15 seconds and stop for 30 seconds and then run 15 seconds again over and over again. Needless to say I gave up on this unit and purchased a Karcher 1650 psi pressure washer and had NO PROBLEMS at all. The Sistema ProWash is cheaply made and falls apart easily. It says it's rated at 1750 psi, but the Karcher 1650 psi unit performed much better.

Leaves much to be desired,
This review is from: Sistema 10106 ProWash 1750 PSI at 1.6 GPM Electric Pressure Washer (Lawn & Patio)
I bought this to replace a similar priced Karcher pressure washer (which broke after a 2 hour deck cleaning). Out of the box, the pressure regulator lever will not stay on the unit and falls off. Installing the unit involved only 2-3 steps but the pieces did not come together easily. The Karcher pressure washer had more power at this price range even though the Sistema had a higher PSI rating. Washing cars will be fine with this but forget driveways, fences, siding, or other medium duty jobs. I am beginning to think that pressure washers in this price range (below $200) are not worth the investment due to the poor reviews most of these products get.

Worked like a charm,

Ordered it from Amazon - it arrived as promised three days later. Easy to set up and used it to clean a 14 x 12 deck and stairs in about an hour. looked like new and set up the boards without sanding to accept a sealer. Only problem - I can't get the pressure adjustment lever to click on the shaft, so I have to carry it in my pocket. Excellent value and I hope it has the longevity to match it's performance.

I bought this pressure washer in May 2005 to replace a Campbell Hausfeld unit with similar performance specs. The C-H unit died after less than a year when the motor's commutator became less than round, resulting in arcing and smoke in the brushes. The cost of a replacement motor exceeded $100 from C-H.The Sistema was purchased because it has an induction motor (no brushes). Out of the box, the unit would not run. The pump or motor was froze and buzzed when switched on. A half a dozen bumps later, the pump freed itself. The adjustable nozzle works well but the brush and turbo nozzle do not have any value. The brush has a rotating center that can be stopped with the lightest of touches. The turbo nozzle makes a lot of noise against the side of an auto and does not clean as well as the adjustable nozzle. I did not try the foam nozzle. The adjustable pressure feature is nice and will be of value when stripping wood. While this type of washer (electric) is not typically recommended for stripping wood, I have found they work well on decks with any commonly available deck stripper/cleaner from a hardware store. I give the washer 4 stars at this time because of the washing capability with the adjustable nozzle and the adjustable pressure capability. December 2006: The washer gets the job done, mostly car washing and deck cleaning. Early on the auto off pressure switch failed. Systema replaced the switch but I had to pay for shipping, which is expensive for something this heavy. They also replaced the wheels. The original wheels fell off continuously. The new wheels work better but are wobbly, not inspiring much confidence. Since then another pressure switch has failed and won't be fixed again. I shut the washer off manually between each use of the sprayer. To operate, the trigger needs to be held open when switching the sprayer on. Otherwise the motor will not turn. This may be a function of a brushless motor which has less torque a zero speed than a brushed motor. The sprayer isn't bad but definitely is not ready for prime time. I put up with things that would have caused many people to junk this sprayer. In hindsight, for light use such as car washing, buy a Campbell Hausfeld. For deck washing and anything with more continuous use, buy a decent gasoline engine model. |
