This compilation features some of Sister Sledge's greatest R&B hits. Unfortunately, Next Time You'll Know from the All American Girls album is missing. The tracks are featured in their original 45 versions. There are many Sledge CDs on the market that feature re-recorded or Live versions of their hits. This is not one of them. All are originals and Soul music at it's best. If you want a little more try Rhino's The Best of Sister Sledge (1973-1985) which features all of these and more. Otherwise, this is the CD you want.

The main reason for me buying the CD was "Lost in Music". I first heard it from my sister's music collection never having any idea who sang it until going through amazon.com and listening to a sample couple of years ago. I have been dying to get the song and now that I know that it is Sister Sledge, I can listen to it as much as I feel like. Their most recognizable songs are "We Are Family" and "He's the Greatest Dancer", which are played often. Some of the other songs that I have never heard of were okay. "Frankie" is too awful to listen to! Apart from that, the CD is good to listen to.

This is a fun CD. There are a few songs I was not familar with but after I saw Sister Sledge in concert last summer I couldn't wait to buy the CD, and I was not dissapointed.

The album title says it all. This is a definite must-own if you are a fan of Sister Sledge and a great one to buy if you aren't a fan but want to have some Sister Sledge music. It is 80s music but most of it still sounds fresh and kickin'! 'Frankie' is a favorite must-play for all retro parties even in this new millennium. You don't have to love the lyrics to get your groove on with this song! The other selections on this album are equally entertaining.
