5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fantastic CD from an absolutely fantastic film!!!
I first saw the cover of the DVD in my local video rental store, and the title made me pick it up and read the back cover. It didn't look like the sort of film I would usually want to watch, but my gut feeling said go for it.

Wow, I'm glad I did. Not only was the film excellent, but I was hooked on the soundtrack after just one viewing!! Next day I ordered...

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoying it
This soundtrack is perfect for a light mood. The songs are sweet, my particular favourite being "black roses red". I couldn't wait to get my hands on the soundtrack after I saw the movie and am happy I added it to my collection. I'm not sure the men in our lives would appreciate but definitely one to share with the gals.

Next day I ordered the DVD of the film, and also a copy of this audio CD soundtrack (Can't understand why here in the U.K we don't have the CD released?) Well, a week later with Airmail shipping this CD arrived, and I have been playing it every day in the car on my way to and from work.

My fave tracks are "Black Roses Red", "Be Be Your Love", "I Want You To Know" "If God Made You", and "These Days".

If you enjoyed the film, It's worth buying this CD. It sounds awesum played on a decent HI-FI turned up loud!

I'm not a sisterhood's books fan but i can't wait to see the movie for my two favorites,Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblin.Anyway,i bought the CD right after hearing samples on the official site for the movie. And i must say it's a very very good soundtrack with old and new artists.First,Chantal Kreviazuk offers us two unrealeased beautiful songs which she's used to bring us,Natasha Bedingfield with her overplayed but nice hit single unwritten, the beautiful Racheal Yamagata with her gorgeous love song, the two masculine tunes sung by the great Five For Fighting and the very unoriginal but good to,William Tell. The newcomers, old Shannon Curfman with her new song sun's gonna rise, and new talented Alana Grace,Brandi Carlile and Katy Perry, with huge songs which make me want to hear more of their songs. And finally the girls band valli girls with a very beautiful and catchy song.So if you love pop/rock this CD is made 4 U.Can't wait to see the movie!...

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiring soundtrack to an inspiring movie, June 3, 2005

There are two things I love about soundtracks. 1) They let you love a variety of music choices and artists while highlighting their best works so that you don't have to buy their CD just to hear the song and 2) They help keep the magic of the movie with you long after you've watched it.
That's what first struck me when I started playing this CD. I was remembering all the good parts, all the sad parts. And I wasn't tired of the music, either. It was good- even though I'd never heard the music before.
My personal favorites were Track 1 and 12. Both songs have inspirational lyrics, catchy tunes and leave you with a really powerful feeling. It's hard to explain.
I would get this CD, if I were you, if you have been really moved and touched by the movie, which I expect that you have been, if you're looking for the CD. It's worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Note about Songs in Commercials, June 9, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Audio CD)
Songs about movies in tv commercials and trailers are never in the movies that they advertise for and thus never make it to the soundtrack of those movies. Sorry guys. It's always a pain when there's a song that catches your attention in a commercial and you can't find where it is. Especially when the song is instrumental. That's the worst because then you can't search up the lyrics in a lyric search engine- there aren't any.

Anyway, to do what I'm actually supposed to do:
I think this soundtrack is great! The songs are superb especially "Black Roses Red" By Alana Grace, "Just For You" By William Tell and "If God Made You" By Five for Fighting. Then again, my opinion of the last song can't really be trusted considering that Five for Fighting is one of my favorite bands! The only thing is that the instrumentals are on a seperate disc, which is a bit dissapointment because i do want to get the main gist of the instrumentals (aka: theme music) without buying a whole new cd.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but reflective, March 9, 2006

This review is from: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Audio CD)
I enjoyed the movie which was a common coming-of-age story full of love and loss, but mostly about friendship. The soundtrack is no different. It mixes fun tunes like the Faders with more contemplative pieces by Chantal Kreviazuk and a few love songs to boot. Overall an enjoyable compilation.

5.0 out of 5 stars sisterhood cd is my favorite, October 24, 2005
This review is from: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Audio CD)
my favorite cd right now is the sisterhood of the traveling pants soundtrack. i don't remember hearing the song- always there in you- by the valli girls in the movie but that song is just undeniably the best song i have heard in a long long time. i really like the cd and the five for fighting song is good too but not as good as their hit single they had out.
