3.0 out of 5 stars About Sisterlocks, July 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Sisterlocks Book: A Tapestry of Dreams: Volume 1 (Sisterlocks Book, Vol 1) (Paperback)
I guess I was looking for more information about sisterlocks. This book just puts on paper what a consultation with a consultant would show you and tell you. I wouldn't recommend this book as a learning tool. The pictures are in black and white so it doesn't allow you to see the beauty of the locs. My suggesstion is if you're thinking of sisterlocks call a consultant and you'll get all the information you'll need. This book just confirms that. Save your money...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sisterlocks and Lock Care, August 26, 2002

This timely addition to Dr. Cornwell's publications on hair issues in people of African descent is wonderfully written and illustrated.

The book speaks to concerns of Sisterlock wearers and those who are considering locking their hair using the Sisterlock method. Nationwide Consultant portaits and contact information is included.

"Tapestry of Dreams" has several color photos and updated Sisterlocks photos. If you have "That Hair Thing", you'll want this follow up book.
