5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to the series, January 1, 2009
This review is from: Sisters of Isis #3: Enchantress (Hardcover)
Enchantress is a satisfying addition of the Sisters of Isis series, and possibly even the best one so far. Thoroughly engulfing from page one, it further strengthens the world Ewing has created. Dalila has a distinct voice compared to the narrators of the previous books, Sudi and Meri, because she has led a more sheltered life, yet she is more knowledgeable than them when it comes to Egyptian mythology. The story is intricately plotted, also bringing in elements from the previous books with an importance readers may not have realized. With a good balance of suspense, the supernatural, and humor, readers will faithfully follow Dalila as she tries to keep evil forces from obtaining an escaped magic, but they will stay for the quiet strength of her character and to see how she handles certain other discoveries. Sisters of Isis is addicting, and I cannot wait to read future volumes in the series.
