A thorough work by the author, Adela Riek Scharr, to follow up on "Sisters in the Sky - Vol. I - The WAFs". A rather sizeable book (approx. 750 pages), it's part personal story, part aviation story, and part tribute to the authors generation.
Five stars. The author died on March 11, 1998 at the age of 90, with endowments and awards named in her honor. |
