I took this book out of my local library first. The edition in my library is of better quality; better color reproduction, thicker pages. If that matters to you, spend more money and get a first edition. If you can mentally understand the deficiency and adjust; this book is fantastic. This is a GREAT book and a GREAT record of Michelangelo's genius.
