I have Fibromyalgia and a balance disorder (and several other disorders) that make it almost impossible for me to exercise, but with this DVD I can do gentle stretching that helps keep me flexible. And best of all if I'm having a bad day I can do the entire workout SITTING DOWN! Or if I'm having a good day I can do some of the parts while standing.
It does NOT require a bunch of expensive, space consuming equipment, just a small playground-type ball, or even no ball! This workout would also be great for people with arthritis, low physical strength, and of course poor balance, CFS-ME, and as stated on the DVD, Fibromyalgia, or for anyone just wanting to improve their flexibility without a strenuous workout. I highly recommend the "Sit and Be Fit" DVDs.

Very helpful for ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia,
This review is from: Sit and Be Fit: Fibromyalgia Workout (DVD)
I LOVE Sit and Be Fit! I have watched these shows for years on PBS, and as a younger, healthy person, encouraged my grandmother to work out with them. Then when I got sick with both Myalgic Encephalomyalitis (ME/CFS) and Fibromyalgia, it was natural to turn to these for help. The Fibromyalgia DVD is really good to build up strength, flexibility, and balance in a calm and lighthearted way - but a caution, for those who are really ill with ME/CFS or something similar, the DVD is not modified to do lying down. You can, however, modify a lot of it yourself. (Definitely recommended for those days when you can sit up and are itching to do something with your body.) The program sets up a nice atmosphere not to feel embarrassed for having limited abilities but wanting to exercise. I love the host and registered nurse, Mary Ann Wilson! [I also recommend Sarah Bates' "Yoga for Healing," which is specially designed for de-stressing and strengthening people with disabilities and illnesses - including the bed-bound - as well as "Kundalini Yoga to Detox and Destress with Maya Fiennes," which is a bit more advanced but is really inspirational and enjoyable.]

I have an older sit and be fit for general health. This one for fibro is basically the same. All she adds is a regular size ball. I wish I didn't waste the money on this one. I am serious ill with fibro and found this dvd to be too easy and too short.
