It's like having a motivational partner right in your home, helping you toward your fitness goals.

Yes, you sweat, yes you get tired, yes your heart rate speeds up, yes, it is definitely harder than it looks.

This is a great video for someone who's not in shape, but wants to get started with some physical workout.

I have a whole library of workout tapes, and Richard Simmons' are always the most fun to do, which keeps you coming back to do them again instead of making excuses to skip your workout. He uses lively music, gives lots of encouragement, and you can relate to the real people in the videos instead of being intimidated by watching models and professional dancers.

This specialized tape is perfect for those it was made for: those people who, for whatever reason, cannot exercise standing up or lying on the floor. Whether you are disabled, use a wheelchair, are recovering from illness or injury, or have your movements otherwise restricted, you will find this to be a moderate workout with uncomplicated movements that you can easily adapt to your own abilities if these are slightly beyond you, or bump them as your ability and stamina increase. The workout is fairly short, only about 25 minutes, so even for beginners it won't be too much to handle all the way through, right from the first time you use it.

If you're already fairly fit (ie an athlete recovering from an injury who temporarily needs to exercise while seated) this tape probably isn't for you; you'll want a higher-level workout. This is definitely more for the out of shape beginner or for people whose limitations are not likely to change quickly or drastically.

As with all his workout tapes, the thing that makes it the most fun and effective is Richard Simmons himself. He is always positive, encouraging, and energetic, and you always get a sense that he truly cares about people. It's like having a motivational partner right in your home, helping you toward your fitness goals.

If you need a non-stressful but effective workout tape, I recommend this one for you!

I love Richard Simmons and am a fan of all his "Sweatin' To" series exercise videos. At 53 years of age, current health problems do not allow me to exercise to my favorites, so I ordered the "Sit Tight" DVD with high hopes of capturing at least some of the benefit I used to get from the more active workouts. I have not been disappointed! A little introduction to the various moves would have been nice, but after about a week of doing the exercises, one catches on fairly quickly. I give this exercise DVD the highest rating.

Well if you are going for the gold medal for chair exercises then you will want to skip this video. Don't get me wrong - it is okay. I appreciate the good effort here especially with using various people in the video that have physical disabilities as well as those with weight issues. Of course Richard is encouraging and compassionate but the moves are a little too abrupt and there wasn't any introduction. It would have been helpful to demonstrate the moves or sequences prior to each section or more slowly. I was left with wishing ehat there were more songs on the tape as well. Again, it's ok. But for exercise videos, Jodi Stolove has the gold medal!

Upon my first viewing of this video, I thought, "This is a piece of cake!" I figured it would be okay for my group members who are out of shape, but it wasn't going to be challenging enough for me. Well, guess what? Richard works your buns off....actually arms and legs. Yes, you sweat, yes you get tired, yes your heart rate speeds up, yes, it is definitely harder than it looks. But Richard has a great cast with him, Many are still very heavy and others are in wheel chairs. If they can keep up with the moves, we can too. So if you want something different, fun or if you are handicapped, this is the tape to get. Go for it!

I have huge balance issues due to a genetic disease. Therefore, it is difficult for me to exercise in a standing position. Since this video shows the exercises being done in a sitting position, I am able to do them. Obiviously, it is not as strenuous as a lot of other exercise videos, but it does get your heart rate up. I have used this video repeatedly and really enjoy it.

This is a great video for someone who's not in shape, but wants to get started with some physical workout. I started with this one, and am now able to do some standing exercise. The Sit Tight workout is quite challenging, believe it or not. I would highly recommend this to others. Shame it's not on DVD, though.

Ordered it for a member of my family as they had a cast on their leg and couldn't walk for a while. Said it was good I have one for me as I have a bad knee and can't exercise like I use to do.
