5.0 out of 5 stars A lifetime of non stick
If your tired of having your nonstick wear out and be scratched off with with metal utensils, this is the solution. Sitram, which is one of the bigest and best commercial cookware manufactuers in Europe, has developed a nonstick which is part of the metal. Its not just a coating which can be scrubbed off. I find this pan to be as nonstick as any I've ever used and...

1.0 out of 5 stars Will not honor warranty - non-exististent customer service
Approximately 2 years ago I purchased an 11" Cybernox frying pan (made by Sitram). The reviews, marketing literature and warranty appeared to support the purchase. My family has used the pan for HOME use-only - and, as it turns out, the pan is defective (the coating has come off between the base and the side). I contacted Sitram USA and was told that warranty...

If your tired of having your nonstick wear out and be scratched off with with metal utensils, this is the solution. Sitram, which is one of the bigest and best commercial cookware manufactuers in Europe, has developed a nonstick which is part of the metal. Its not just a coating which can be scrubbed off. I find this pan to be as nonstick as any I've ever used and beautiful to look at as well. The interior has an unique silver look to it which contibutes to its appeal. As with all pans the best way to insure that nothing sticks is to preheat the pan and oil before adding the cooking item. This pan really has it all, looks, durability, nonstick, and a aluminum bottom which makes it a great conductor of heat.

I contacted Sitram USA and was told that warranty would be provided ONLY if submitted with a copy of the 'receipt of purchase'. After 2-3 years, it is unreasonable to require a proof of purchase - since the pan, itself, should serve as proof of a defective product!

Unless you are meticulous with all records - DO NOT PURCHASE A SITRAM product! Unless, of course, standing by the quality of a product means nothing to you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superior frying pan, December 20, 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sitram Cybernox 11 Inch Stick Resistant Stainless Steel Fry Pan (Kitchen)
This is without a doubt the finest cookware I have ever used. Absoulutely nothing sticks to it, the heating is perfectly even and it comes out of the dishwasher shining like new. We even accidently melted a plastic spatuala in it and it came clean with a little elbow grease and hot water. Following the instructions to heat a little water in it after cooking makes clean up a breeze. I want to replace all my cookware with this product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Truly non-stick, August 31, 2004

This is the best pan Ihave ever used. The only reason I can't give it a perfect rating is because of the discoloration on the outside of the pan. The pan truly is non-stick and has maintained it's shiny stainless finish ON THE INSIDE. However, the outside dulled very quickly and does not return to its former shiny stainless finish, no matter how hard I have scrubbed or with what product. Otherwise, it is incredible!! I use regular metal utensils and have overheated the pan more than once. Even burned on cheese comes right off with the included steel wool pad. The handle stays cool and the lid fits well. I wish the outside were as perfect as the inside.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cookware, don't throw out your conventional non-stick pan, January 5, 2006
This review is from: Sitram Cybernox 11 Inch Stick Resistant Stainless Steel Fry Pan (Kitchen)
I think of the Cybernox as a hybrid between a high-quality steel pan and a non-stick. The surface will not release foods as easily as a true non-stick. But I am able to sear meats over high heat and create a pan sauce by scraping off the tasty bits and adding stock, impossible to do with a non-stick pan. And cleanup is much easier with a Cybernox than with a steel pan.

The Cybernox heats more evenly and quickly than my All-Clad stainless pan and does a fantastic job of browning.

This is a heavy pan, however - sauteing can be tough on the wrists. And it's expensive, but I expect to own it for many years. I had expected this pan to replace my non-stick, but instead I've kept my non-stick (for fish, mainly) and rarely use my All-Clad these days.

My wife and I purchased this pan and it's smaller counterpart. Both of these pans have not lived up to what they're supposed to do, which is to provide a non-stick cooking surface. We have ended up buying Calphalon pans to replace the cybernox. Very disappointed.
