5.0 out of 5 stars Listen again and again!, March 23, 2009

This review is from: Sitting by the Well (Audio CD)
Marion Woodman is an exceptional person! I have followed her work for years and was fortunate to be able to see her in person a year ago, and even in her advanced age, she sparkles with vitality! Here is someone worth listening to. In "Sitting by the Well" Marion offers a wealth of wisdom that she has accumulated over years of working with people in therapy and through her own life experience. She is a talented storyteller and compelling speaker.

Marion focuses on helping people make a connection with their soulful selves. She rails at a world that has concretized spirit in the abuse of drugs, alcohol, sex and food; leaving people feeling empty and lonely, more disconnected than ever. Marion advocates honoring and developing both feminine and masculine sides of the personality and comments about the damage that patriarchy has done in the culture becoming too one-sided, leaving the feminine principle to languish.

If you are interested in hearing from an original thinker and a person who "walks her talk" this cd set will not disappoint. ENJOY!

Cindy

5.0 out of 5 stars Sitting By The Well, May 19, 2009

'Sitting By the Well' is a must-have guide for men and women alike to cultivate greater inner and outer consciousness both for discerning their own particular life questions and individual myths as well as those in relationship; whether from family, society or the collective. Woodman has many brilliant insights to share for anyone at any point in their lives when they are questioning the surface/tangible appearance of things and strive to probe deeper into the invisible mystery of our being-ness and ongoing 'selving'. As Thich Nhat Hanh would say: You are a living thing, but your ideas about yourself (or anything else for that matter) are not. You are an evolving verb, not a static noun, hence the necessity to constantly interrogate our notions of who and what we are both to self and other. You can find no better companion for clarifying a better dialogue with your soul than Woodman: a real gem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marion Woodman- What more is there to say?, October 10, 2010

In my book, Marion Woodman is the quintessential modern day Jungian analyst/writer from the feminine perspective. Her background in literature and drama give life to the concepts she discusses. She has walked her talk and can impart great wisdom in a compelling manner.
