A cold and hard jungle mix cd, by far the best dieselboy CD out there. Highly recommended!

This is the album that turned me on to Drum&Base. Much of the jungle I had heard just seemed chaotic high-hats and base drones, then Deiselboy came along. DjmixSeries has all the energy of good tech-step D&B but with flutes, well used samples, ect. that add a melodic effect as well. The mix of music this driving and dark with soft melodies is just perfect. You can sit and chill to this or dance. Also sick stuff like bringing back tiny parts of old samples later in the disc. My only complaint is that it looses a bit of momentum towards the end. Ill stop the CD early often because the last few songs are a bit boring. I have become a D&B fanatic since I first heard DjmixSeries, but I still dont have anything else quite like it.

by far the best dieselboy cd yet. the selection is really nice and the mixing is transparent. if you like your music dark *and* jazzy, this is a perfect buy!

This is by far the best album in the drum and bass genre. Dieselboy has created a masterpiece better than his close first album, 97 Octane. If your looking for the hottest jungle CD right now its Dieselboy 611 Philly.

This is definetely one of my favorite Dieselboy mixes, when i wanna kick back and enjoy some good Drum and Bass i throw this in. The first half of the mix is not quite as heavy and dark as a lot of dieselboy records, making it a nice reprieve from the later half of this CD, which has some heavier, more intense beats. If you ask me you really need to own all of the Dieselboy CD's, but this or 97 octane is the place to start.

When I listened to this album I fell in love with DieselBoy's creative and unique way of mixing jungle (which I never enjoyed before)creating a sound uniquely his own. I connected with the way the music was mixed so it flowed so naturally and the smooth flawless transitions throughout had me entranced and connected from start to finish. I experienced a range of emotion while I listened as the music told the story of the album. DieselBoy's ability to mix a jungle album with perfectly timed transitions through a diverse mix of sound, intensity and emotion allows each person to experience the unique and addicting jungle style DieselBoy is known for in a way that is just as diverse.
The first time I saw DieselBoy in 1999 it was the first tour he performed this album. I was hooked, he is phenomenal live.

Why couldn't they have found different grooves and/or rythyms for some of the drum & bass compositions on this album, for DJ Dieselboy's "Six Eleven DJ Mix Series-Vol. 1"? It's the same ol' ti-ti-ti-tik-tika-ti-ti-ti, do-ti-do-ti-do-ti-do kind of bassline being mixed over and over. All these songs seem to sound alike, kinda like AK1200, Tricky, Freaky Flow & MC Flipside's previous albums. I think this underground electronic-music genre needs a major overhaul. I think it's so boring to listen to the same rythyms, with the redundant beats and lack of creativity. We need to experiment a little more with this kind of stuff, by exploring things outside of the usual boundries in the realm of drum & bass - by drawing outside the lines - every once in a while. I'm no expert when it comes to the underground scene, by any means, it's just the way I feel about it. I'm more into the progressive-house and nu-school break-beats, there's so much more variety and creativity to the music. That being said, I would instead give some DJ Icey, DJ Micro or DJ Baby Anne a try, with their awesome break's compilations to escape the doldrums of this dissapointing album.

Easily this is one of dieselboy's best mixed albums. Before his explosion into futuristic sci-step/tech-step sounds, Dieselboy dropped this album filled with deliciously mixed beats which are jazzy, dark, deep, and thoughtful. The pacing is mixed giving the listener room to breathe; the tempo is varied to remind you that you are the listener to music and NOT just background to the dj's canvas of snare drums and hi-hats. Be at peace when purchasing this cd because you'll be in store for some pure listening enjoyment.

I love Dieselboy, been to many shows. I find it hard to believe that he made an album of such crap. Compared to his other cd's this one blows. Don't buy it. It sucks. Two good songs on it. You've been warned.
