A Simple-But-Powerful Playbook for Success,
By Todd Sebastian (Cincinnati, OH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
I lOVED this book. It is a super-quick read that is full of insights on how to succeed in business and in life. The insights are simple. Yes. But that is what makes the book so powerful. It teaches us - and, in many cases, reminds us - that success is not hard to achieve. You just have to focus on the right things and implement them in the right way.Don't be deterred by some feedback that says this is just "common sense stuff." Maybe it is. But we are all well-served by being reminded of some of the fundamentals from time to time. Todd Sebastian Best-selling author, Tell Your Clients Where to Go! One of best books I've ever read,
By Hillbilly Funk (Porltand, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
At the risk of sounding like I'm gushing, this is honestly one of the top 3 books I've ever read. My husband's boss recommended it to all of his managers. He had it laying on the counter for weeks unread, so I read it. I was so engrossed, I finished in one night and took away MULTIPLE tips that are both applicable in the business world AND your personal life. I bought my husband a replacement copy so my highlighting wouldn't annoy him and encouraged him to read right away. Although he's not a big book fan, he too took many tips away from the book.It was just short of life-changing for me. There are actually more than 6 tips too -- there are sub-tips for each of the fundamentals which I found more helpful than the primary 6. On the personal side, it helped me cope through the death of my grandmother and get ready for my wedding. On the business side, it reinforced some principles I had which MY managers questioned, and gave me the courage to leave my job and apply those principles as well as new ones in a new job which I am much more happy with. I agree with one of the other reviewers that you should replay/pull this book out again after reading to refresh on ideas, especially in new situations. If you don't get anything out of this book, I'd like to meet you as you must be quite a sage.

Success Has Begun,
By John J Leahy (Long Island, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
At my 1st staff meeting of 2004 on January 5th, I provided my "Greater New York" team a copy of "The Six Fundamentals of Success". I took them thru the book focusing on those things I thought would get everyone on the same page and insure they work as a team to meet our aggressive goal to grow our business 25% in 2004.With only 2-hour meetings on January 5th, 6th and 7th and repeated references to the book, I have seen an incredible change in how the team is working together and is truly energized. With the book as a foundation, the team now believes we can make our budget for the year. I would encourage every business manager to read the book, share it with your staff and then just coach and facilitate their success! A great way to begin the year -- a must read!!

Amazing Book for Your Career,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
This is the best career book I've read for a long long time. I am a principal of a headhunter in NJ and this book is a must read for professionals on their way up because it addresses all the relevant issues of people, process and principles. For people who have just landed their job in a new company, "invest in relationships" is a golden rule and "make sure you add value" is another one to stick by. You will be going up the ladder! I assure you! The book should also be named "The Six Fundamentals of a Successful Career"

This book is just what the Dr. ordered. Stuart's thoughts/insights, and how he made them seem so clear and concise was truly "genius". I am recommending that my senior management team read this book ASAP. I know that it will provide immediate value to our company.

Straight to the Point.,
By Nathan Swartz (Topeka, KS) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
Levine gives an impressive amount of advice, which if followed will increase your value to an organization substantially. Many of the ideas presented seem elementary in concept, yet are often overlooked by the majority of the workforce.I personally enjoyed the "Straight to the point" format, which Levine takes throughout the book. He explains his point and reasoning then moves on without excessive elaboration. I will definitely review this book in the future to remind myself of the simple ideas and concepts that can increase my value substantially.

Levine on Today Show,
By Dan (The University of Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
I picked up this gem, after watching Levine on the Today show with Matt Lauer. Reading this book once, was not enough for me. I personally leaf through the book every few days. The insights Levine provides are integral to every facet of my life. As a student leader on campus this book has helped me set goals, implement change, and maintain relationships. I apply these insights to my studies and everyday life. As the president of a major student organization, I can appreciate the fundamental "Communicate Up and Down, Inside and Out" for its reinforcement of the importance of constant communication among my peers. This book has saved my student organization time, money and a lot of frustration.

By scott (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Six Fundamentals of Success: The Rules for Getting It Right for Yourself and Your Organization (Hardcover)
I can not say enough about this book and the impact it has had on my business life and skills. This book did a superb job of reiterating skills that all business people need to make sure they excel at to be successful in their individual businesses. Stuart Levine has a tremendous way with words, giving distinct, unforgettable analogies that help to force home the point. This book has allowed me to expand my career, and certain skills I have retained have been noticed by my fellow workers. I highly recommend this book to anyone in a business-related field or even not, as it is an important tool to have in navigating the path of life, especially one's work life.
