Simon Hawke's Timewars series involves the use of time travel to fight the wars of the future. Excellently written, and I wish he wouldn't have stopped. They would make an excellent movie or TV series.
Helps in the learning of history since all the stories take place in the past. Great for kids who love all the sci-fi stuff, when you want them to learn a little history. GREAT BOOKS!

I've been reading this series ever since it first came out in paperback. It follows a team of commandoes that travel through time trying to keep the enemy from causing disruptions. Each book takes on a well known period of history (Ivanhoe, Scarlet Pimpernle, Jason and the Argonauts) and somehow makes it work without being contrary to known history. The books are lively and well written. I wish he continued the series. I wish the series would be re-issued so I could replace my books that are falling apart and acquire the one I don't have (The Cleopatra Caper). I give these book 2 thumbs up!
