I purchased this book because I needed it for a school report. I am studying to become an early childhood educator.
Ms. Galinsky's book was so insightful that, instead of just reading what I needed for my report (about 20% of it) I read it cover to cover.
For anyone who works with children (and, consequently) their parents, this book provides excellent insights.
Anyone who works with children knows just how much of an impact their parents and home life make on the child's progress.
This book enables the reader to learn the nature of the challenges a parent is facing from pregnancy through the "empty nest" stage.
I am certain I will refer to this book again and again. . .
While there are many books about parenting, this is the first book about "parents" that I have seen, and it is well worth a read.

This book is so interesting and is definitely relevant to everyday life. Even if you aren't a parent, it's important to know about these different stages.

I use this as a reference resource for our child care parents i.e. in conversation and lending library.

This book was a very interesting read. It's a fairly easy read and has valuable information for people who will be working with families.
