About the Author
Keith T. Weber and his wife Soo actively raise and show Great Pyrenees in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho. In 2000 they founded LadyHawke kennels which you can visit on the Internet to learn more about them and their dogs (http://www.sdk-weber.com). Keith, who holds a Master's degree in Wildlife Biology, is a Research Center Director at Idaho State University where he studies grazing lands around the world.

I gave this great book to friends who have just adopted a Great Pereneze (sp??) and they loved it! There are so few books written in story form about this breed.
This one told a lovely story and shared such great true information about this breed. It is a real find!!

A Must Have Story For Dog Lovers,

I actually don't think that one must be a dog lover to enjoy this story. What a gem! Both children and adults will be moved by this special tale. Though it is a fictional work, it is interwoven with a bit of lore that rings of truth. It is this charming quality that lends it the air of a genuine, old world legend. Worthy of a spot on any shelf of beloved stories!

The pictures in this 15 page book were very small on a very large page and they looked like an amateur had drawn them! The story was mediocre at best. I can only conclude that the glowing reviews were written by friends of the author. Perhaps if I had paid $4 instead of $10 for the book I wouldn't have felt so cheated. The picture on the front is the best part of the book! It looks just like our sweet puppy!
