From the same label that brought you BULLET TREATMENT comes another great punk outfit with traces and influences of genuine hardcore/punk that was the resounding flavor of the mid to late 80's. Just as DAG NASTY and Ian Mackay's other lesser known band, EMBRACE, BLEEDER RESISTOR have developed a sound and vibe that is a balance between the rough edge of 80's hardcore and the streamlined, more polished punk sound brought out by the advance of new wave. Great fist lifting choruses with easily processed guitar signatures bring to mind a possible PENNYWISE venture but with an ALL coating of popish urgency. For those caught up in the recent pop punk garbage of late, you need to listen to an album like this for an understanding of where it all derived from. Although it might seem a little thin in the creativity realm they made up for it with infinite energy and perfectly infectious rhythms. If this six-song EP doesn't get the juices flowing for punk fans, then you probably weren't a punk fan to begin with.
