Book Description

May 2002 0971862109 978-0971862104
Sixteen Is Too Young To Drive is an essential resource for parents who dread the prospect of a young driver in the family, and want to protect the inexperienced teen from the inordinate behind-the-wheel risks.

This book provides a plan of action, from pre-learner's permit to post road test, for teaching teens to drive. Included is a 12-item questionnaire to help parents determine whether their teen is mature enough to drive. The book also covers newly revised graduated licensing laws, limitations of driver education, provides resources for supplemental practice, and offers advice on coping with peer pressure, drinking and driving, and other behavior problems affecting the teen driver.

5.0 out of 5 stars Potentially life saving reading, August 11, 2002
This review is from: Sixteen is Too Young To Drive: Taking Control When Your Teen's Behind-the-Wheel (Paperback)
Collaborative written by Donna and Richard Crossman, Sixteen Is Too Young To Drive: Taking Control When Your Teen's Behind-The-Wheel is a sobering book, written on the reflection that teenagers today are four times as likely as adults to have a motor vehicle accident, and more teens are likely to die in a car accident than from a drug overdose. Offering a profile test to determine whether one's teenager is ready to accept the responsibility of driving, a compare and contrast of different types of driver education, handling ground rules and misbehavior when an automobile is involved, Sixteen Is Too Young To Drive is potentially life saving reading for the parents.
