A Must Read for all New Age Believers.......,
This review is from: Sixth Sense: Including the Secrets of the Etheric sublte Body (Paperback)
Once again, Stuart Wilde has opened the door into the metaphysical realm and in his uniquely humorous style teaches us to put these mysterious forces to work in the real world. This wonderful book takes you down the New Age boulevard of hot topics and in typical Wilde wisdom and humor, explains it all in simple, if not sometimes quasi-scientific "rationalifics" which not only make sense after reading, but really work in the real world. UFO's, druids, fairies, NDE's, kundalini, quantum mathmatics and intuition are just a few of the stops along the way. Wilde leaves you not only with a real understanding of the mysterious, but also teaches you to use your understanding to find happiness, make a lot of money and kick back and relax about it all in his typical irreverent way. I laughed as I read it, then using my new found wisdom went right out and manifested a little happiness in my own life. Don't pass this one over!

A wonderful, practical, compassionate, life changing book.,

The Sixth Sense is a special piece of work that has added value and meaning to my life. If it does half as much for you, you've found something special. If you have read many self-help books and personal development books (even the good ones that focus on principle centered living and character development, rather than ego fuelling techniques and quick fixes), yet feel there is "something" missing from the picture, then "The Sixth Sense" is for you. The "missing link" may well be in your spiritual development, as it was in my case, having turned from a determined aetheist to a spiritual believer. To get a grounding I would strongly recommend Stuart's earlier books first, the infamous "TAOS QUINTET"; five books the first one being; "Affirmations". Stuart's friendly, humourous, compassionate, sensitive and practical approach is totally engaging. If the subject of Spirituality is new to you as it was to me, you will find this stuff challenges your core beliefs derived from childhood and mainstream society, but let it. An open-mind that reads this work will be touched and expanded in a most positive way. What have you got to lose? Don't miss out.

Some Stunning Insights from a Spiritual Scallywag,

Some people love to categorize spiritual teachers into schools, styles and lineages, rather than focusing on the message. I suppose that if we were to categorize Stuart, it would be to call him some type of Rascal Sage.
But that would miss the point of his uniqueness. I've read thousands of books on philosophy and metaphysics, and Stuart's stand out for their clarity and compassion. He is obviously an extremely acute observer of humans and of the world(s) that we inhabit. He has many detractors, not least because he insists on trying to make people self-reliant. That has always resonated for me: the whole thrust of my own work has been to empower people and to help them find the physical, psychological, interpersonal, subtle and spiritual tools that they need to realize their full potential, enrich their lives and serve others. In one of Stuart's books he uses a good analogy: if you spend your life carrying people toward a goal, their legs will become weak and no longer support them. He points the direction to go in and some methods for getting there, but the work of getting there is yours alone. So sometimes Stuart says outrageous things to give people a jolt, to try and shock them out their ego-based complacency. That can be painful and even a little irritating. Yet though I've never met him, I'm convinced that he usually does from the highest motives. Looking back over my copy of this book, it is, like all of his others, festooned in underlining, notes and comments. Do I agree with everything that he says? Absolutely not. Do I think that this book is a valuable addition to a metaphysical library, or the collection of anyone aiming to grow, then absolutely yes. This is a book full of insights and exercises. Stuart only occasionally says, "This is exercise number three, I want you to..." He is more subtle than that, and the exercises are the more valuable for it. Be aware that the teaching style is unusual, yet also unusually powerful, and you could get a great deal from this book.

A very polished work,

I love the way Stuart Wilde writes it's so direct and simple to understand. There's no airy-fairy nonsense in the 6th Sense, it's all "do this, try that."Though I get the impression Mr. Wilde knows much more about the 'subtle body' than he put in this book. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in developing ESP and subtle perception.

A practical guide,

This book is great. It's a guide book for getting what Wilde calls your "etheric" moving. The etheric is also called the "subtle body," the "spirit," etc. The excercises are quite interesting and entertaining. One particular exercise suggests projecting your "etheric" self about twenty yards away and then shifting your awareness or perception back and forth between your body and the etheric body. This is a great book for getting better at "feeling" the world around you, connecting with people on a deeper level, and understanding more of yourself and others. I was particularly helped by his advice about dreams and interpreting them. Excellent read!

Truly Mind Expanding!!,

This review is from: Sixth Sense: Including the Secrets of the Etheric sublte Body (Paperback)
This is the second of Stuart Wilde's books I have read. The first one being "Miracles." Since reading, I have purchased 7 more of his books. All of his work is truly mind expanding. Stuart has experienced things in his life that I could never even dream possible. In this book, the author gives detailed accounts of life in other dimensions, along with some useful exercises you can try. Of particular interest is a detailed discussion about the "death tube" or what people claim to see during near death experiences. Stuart discusses how one can experience this without having a near death experience. Although to experience most of these things, one needs to be in a meditive state. I would purchase a book on meditation if you haven't already done so. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who would like to expand their mind!!

Theory and Practice,

Hi, all. This is really a reply to reader from Texas asking about results. I have read Wilde for many years and have always found him to be as brilliant as he is courageous -- but he is very subjective. If you are looking for an objective, results-oriented, step-by-step "how to" may I suggest you track down the works of an author who wrote under the name Ophiel. Alas, most of Ophiel's material is out of print, but you can probably find (at least) his "Art and Practice of Astral Projection" online. Good luck, and keep at at it.Best regards, JM

Sixth Sense is chock full of usable techniques and spirtual truths,

This review is from: Sixth Sense: Including the Secrets of the Etheric sublte Body (Paperback)
I've read about 1/4 of the book so far and it's awesome. Stuart Wilde breaks down how to improve the senses and be aware of things around us. He also has many explanations about why people are blind and how we are programmed to be that way. He also has usable techniques that one can practice; in fact he has so many that you could refer back to this book for years to come. There are also many asides regarding things of a metaphysical nature that are informative, amusing and priceless in their illumination. I haven't even finished "Sixth Sense" and I have to say I've already gotten double my money's worth.

My Favorite Book -,

This review is from: Sixth Sense: Including the Secrets of the Etheric sublte Body (Paperback)
This is a must-read book if you have any interest in enlightenment, spiritual growth, intuition and/or etheric sensitivity. A fantastic combination of stories, instructions, explanations and methods of opening your mind- its a great introduction into the 'Wilde' journey down the rabbit hole, to a place of bliss and awakening. We're born with these senses, which Wilde both guides and encourages us to hone our talents with. For a long time I carried this book with me wherever I went, referring to different passages to reenforce his concepts of meditation, soul purification and sensing the subtleties of life.
