Religious Magic was foundation of modern Science.,
This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
The 6th. & 7th. Book of Moses appears to date back to the Kabalistic writings of the Jews and is a textbook of how religious magic was and is used. The Hebrew amulets in it point to great antiquity and are used for Black and White Magic; just like the Jewish High Prist may have used them,in order to protect the people of Israel. The Book was on the prohibited list in the German Democratic Republic, and it is extremely difficult to obtain it in its original German text [It was part of an early translation of a German Bible]. To me, it is a curiosity, that has little influence on modern life, but to a Christian it could be tempting, to use the Psalm of the Bible, in a way, that the Church would frown upon, i.e. for Black and White Magic. Be careful when reading it, because the Spells are [supposed] to be powerful, because the name of God[the Almighty] is used, to tie up devils and demons, so that they serve you. A basic understanding of Hebrew and German appears to be needed, to understand the complex meaning, of the text and its application, yet the English translation is very sound. If you are a student of psychology, this book opens the door to understand some of those, who claim to be 'Magicians' and understand the basis on which their 'beliefs' are founded. This Book should be of interest to those involved in the para-normal, mysticism and the like, but again, remember, it is a powerful magic text that has influenced people for better or worse.

An excellent resource for ancient magical practices!,

This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
Personally, I am astounded to be able to find such an antiquated work available. I found it fascinating and engrossing. As far as actually using the spells, that is not my area of interest. I am a researcher of everything esoteric and this book is a wonderful addition to my library.

Speaky English ?!?,
By Saint "Magician of Faith" (Big Apple City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
I bought this book a while ago after reading a few of the commentaries and then thinking it's a great book. The seals of Moses themselves are good but the information in this book does not seem to be written in a way for a normal human being to understand how the heck to correctly implement it.From what I learned, the seals in the beginning of the book are good and then after that, the rest of the stuff is more or less useless or more difficult to figure out. Fortunately, I had talked to someone who had actually used these seals correctly before and they elaborated on some of the things for me. At least I can finally figure some of the things in this book out to add to my magick knowledge - after much difficulty.

A curruption of Kabballist Doctrine,
By
This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
While I have not used this book for practical purposes, it is obviously a bland attempt to make the Word of God and the Torah some kind of mock-up for Christian Doctrine. It tries to prove that these writings work. Whether they do or not is up to the Practical Kabballist, however, no matter how well people want to believe it, Christianity has as much in common with Jews as Muslims do with Christains. The Holy Torah and Kabballah are ancient. This writing obviously was after the 1500's which was after Agrippa, because they mention him several times. To me, this could be as practical as the Necronomicon. Yes, the spells may work, but one would have to genuinely understand the system behind it. It seems haphazardly put together and explained very poorly. The document itself is poorly copied and one can hardly make out the hebrew letters. I know a "little" hebrew and some of the translation of the characters makes no sense. Some of it is latin, greek and hebrew. In my opinion this was put together by a contemporary of Agrippa who thought that it would be cool to put something like this together just like he did. It is sloppy, poorly written, and hardly should grace the libraries of some more serious mages and Kabballists alike. Christains shouldn't even read it unless they are inclined towards Kabballah as well for some of it will be lost on them. However most of it is trying to explain how the Hebrew system is really for some kind of "New Covenant" which has never been made by God or anyone and is never mentioned in the Bible, New or Old Testament or Gnostic writings for that matter. In short, look elsewhere. This does not deserve the attention of serious scholars. In the words of Le Var Burton, "But you don't have to take my word for it..."

A Great Book of Magic,
This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
The Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses speaks of religious magic, both black and white. It is insightful as far as spells and makes for a fascinating read whether you are a magician practicing spells or just curious about magic.

This review is from: Sixth and Seventh Book of Moses (Paperback)
If you are reading this text just don't buy this book (if u live in USA it's ok) I have ordered 15 books since now and this book is in worst condition. Here problems..1.The book came with other 12 books but it was much different from them.It was like "used." 2.The page size of book ise 21x28 cm and the text size in the pages are 9x16 cm size!! "Imagine that you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader and zoom out the text to %40 and printin it on a %100 size page and put the text on right-middle of the paper"!!! The letters are so small that i can read them hardly when there is 10 cm distance between my eyes and the book... 3.Also the letters are indistinct and the seals&sigils in the book are in black-white color and the white and black colors are so mixed that you cant understand what shape the picture has.You can draw Lucifer's seal instead of Micheal's.Beaware.. 4.I couldnt swear at the publisher of the book cuz the i still dont know the publisher.(Egyptian Publishin or Kessinger publishin or both of them? on front it is written egyp publishin but 1 st page it is written kessinger.LOL) 5.The cover of the book is in full purple color like school books of 7 years old children. 5.If u are from USA buy this books and u can take it back to amazon.com but if u are from countries like Turkey,Iraq, Iran,Egypt,Greece etc. u cant send it back in 30 days. 6.Never try to get help from help departmant about this book.I tried, i asked 10 questions and they answered 2 of em.Also i have waited for them to reply my mail for 5 days and when they didnt answer i was shocked cuz my time was already short and they cut 5 more from 30.

This book has ruined lives. If you do purchase this book YOU MUST FINISH READING ALL OF IT. If you read it you can't stop in the middle of it. For instance you may experience great trajedys in your life; a friend might die, family harmed, car crashes and such. These are all things that have been experienced by people who don't take this book seriosly. I worry for your life, you just don't know what your in for...
