When Theodore Grant drives his team of mules into the dusty pioneer town of Cottonwood, his life will never be the same. Far away from his coastal home in Massachusetts, he has brought with him a mystery, sixty sealed jars. With no family or friends, he takes the recommendation of the town folk and decides to stay at a local rooming house. However, his life begins to change when he receives a long awaited letter from Chief Androve of the Boston Maritime Unit. Distraught and unable to find solace, Theodore befriends the kindly Mrs. Quinn, and learns to deal with his troubled past. As for the sixty jars, their contents are revealed, exposing part of his clandestine past.
